Ensign Enik’s shuttlecraft approached the Ark Angel, but he could only marvel at the ship. Growing up on a small colony, there were always supply ships of course, but the Federation spared no expense for the magnificent vessel currently in front of him. The warp nacelles glowed, and the Ensign wondered if he was maybe not the first to be transfixed by their pulsating pattern. As the shuttlebay came into view, however, the stark gray of the bulkheads snapped the new officer back onto task, and he felt the urge to pinch himself to make sure he wasn’t still dreaming.

He sprung out of the shuttle and onto the sparse floor, extending a salute to his new commanding officer. “Ensign Michael Edward Enik reporting for duty, sir.”

Unfortunately as the eager young ensign got off his shuttle in bay 2 on the Ark Angel, he was met not by the ship’s Captain, but another lowly Ensign in rank. A short human female about 5‘2 in height with bright green hair greeted him. “..HAH, I wish I was the Captain! Not quite yet though Ensign. Relax, and welcome aboard the Ark Angel. I’m Ensign Sally Butler out of the operations department. Seems you’re boarding just in time before we’re heading out on another mission I hear soon. Anyhow got your boarding PADD?” she asked.

Once Enik had given her such, she nodded looking it over. “..Engineering eh? Well let’s see where your cabin assignment is..” she said humming to herself while checking over another PADD. “..Ah ha, here we are! Ensign Michael Enik, deck 41, cabin 876.” she said nodding. “..Lucky you! It’s just down the hall by 100 yards or so from main engineering on that deck!” she said signing off on his acceptance to the cabin assignment.

Handing back the man’s boarding PADD she continued. “..You’ll want to stow your belongings first, then go get a medical check in at one of the sickbays, after that schedule a pschological eval with the ship’s counselor, then meet your department head in main enginerring, she’s a Caitian named Miz’uki. After that while its not mandatory you could also meet the ship’s Captain or XO if you like. Any questions for me?” she finished.
