It was 1900 hours in the evening, and within Deck 18’s Recreation Hall, Tel’eck Andone and several other of the ship’s teenage girl population had commandeered the entire area devoted for the hall’s pool and beverage bar area. They had gone a step further and setup candles, scented oils of a relaxing nature in the air, and all the other girly accompaniments one could expect for teens in the late 24th century. In short it was a total area given over for socializing, girly gossip, finger and toe painting, and binge watching the latest holo-flick/show for the evening.

Of course such an event wouldn’t just be able to be for the teens, nor would news of it not get out to the more regular populace. While it was implied it was only for the ‘cool hip youth’ of the ship, nothing would stop anyone crashing the girl’s night party long as they ‘followed the rules of edict for been a ‘cool’ teenager’ as one of the girls put it in passing.

The science department was composed of some of the biggest gossips on the ship rivaled only by the engineering department. So of course word of a girly-girl’s party complete with all the teenage fixings would reach V’alura’s ears. It brought back memories of her own teenager years, rife with rodeo, acting and an inordinate amount of sleepovers with her bestie. Her teenage years were also the height of her pink phase, a time in her life when she wore nothing but pink. Pink makeup, pink clothes, pink accessories! Even as she matured and phased out of that phase she never lost her love for girlie things.

V’alura quickly wrapped up her work for the day and raced back to her quarters. She changed into a comfortable set of black track pants and her favorite fluffy purple sweater, then grabbed her giant make-up bag and the PaDD that held all her favorite holovids. With these humble offerings in hand, she made her way to the recreation hall. These girls are something else! She thought, happily, taking in all the decor the girls set up to set the ambiance for the evening.

“Hey, girls!” V’alura called out, giddy with excitement, “I heard there’s a girl’s night going on. I’ve brought offerings of make-up and movies.” And indeed her makeup bag was thoroughly impressive: chock full of fancy, non-replicated brands only purchasable on Earth. “I humbly request permission to join this lovely party.”

As Valura entered into the cordoned off area for the party, she found one of the girls had somewhere snagged a pair of gravity boots and so was using this to hang from the ceiling! The teen as she noticed Valura and her offer just groaned, “..Urgh ollllddddd people! Come on Tel’eck get her to go away!” She whined.

Tel’eck though just shrugged coming over, “..Oh hush up Franky! All that blood rushing to your head can’t be healthy and it’s making you think stupid and short term!..” She said. Then returned her attention to Valura, “..Well we always can use more makeup and movies, so ok you can stay. What you got on offer?” Tel’eck inquired trying to peer at the movies, “..Anything good?”

V’alura was hardly bothered by Franky’s words. Before her arrival she knew that the girls might reject her presence and that would be fine. This was their party and they had every right to approve or reject unplanned guests. Thankfully for her, Tel’eck was not so hard won-over. V’alura grinned, “Lot’s of good stuff. I got movies that were popular when I was a teen and several classics from a few hundred years ago.” She held the PaDD out for Tel’eck to see for herself. Included on the list were many of V’alura’s personal favorites, unsurprisingly were nearly all romance or rom-coms.

Tel’eck took the PADD with the list of movies on them, “..Hmm..” She started. “..I’ve heard good things about this action romance vid called Agent Shalang: From Risa With Love, something about top secret Vulcan Starfleet Intelligence agent stopping some even more secret agency that wants to control the Federation? Feel up for that?” She asked.

A few other girls came over to poke through her make-up bag and V’alura let them take the whole thing, happy to see untouched products finally seeing use. “I can paint nails too.” She added.

“And I can do hair and makeup” Came Ella’s voice from behind V’alura. She’d heard about the twen party, and while she wasn’t young, she wasn’t old either and the idea of a little girl get together interested her, as an elasian however she was very much a teen and her appearance suggested as such. “And I’ve brought my own goodies” her bag included snacks which she had researched went well at girl parties, and some simple games.

Franky obviously was not thrilled to have more ‘old people’ join their ranks but it seems the ‘tribute offerings’ of food, makeup, and a good flick at least mollified her protests to disquieted grunts and grumbles. The rest of the teenage girls were thrilled to seem more ‘mature’ with the additions, and upon Tel’eck’s suggestions for the first movie everyone, including Franky, ooed and awwed in gushing glory over the various actors, male and female for that matter. “..Alright well I guess we got our plans then, let’s get things set up!” Tel’eck said taking charge and loading up the PADD video request for the Agent movie.

Meanwhile two more of the girls a human by the name of Sarah and a half-vulcan named Solorn were busy tossing up snacks on the nearby anti-gravity table hovering nearby. While an andorian teen named Elorn was making sure all the couches were fluffed and ready to go for long term lounging and binging for the party to come.
