Masi entered the shuttle bay and opened the hatch on the back of a shuttle. She imagined her team would only be moments behind, so she’d start warming up the engines and get ready.

V’alura stepped inside the shuttle not long after Masi and took the seat before the small science station. She activated the shuttle’s remote sensors, intending to keep an eye out for any sign or warning of an unexplained energy pulse. If there were indeed temporal shenanigans going on then the energy pulse that caused the Synthesis’s distress call could be imminent. Making it not only a matter of what but when. “They’re almost certainly going to have a lot of questions for us,” V’alura said aloud, to no one in particular. “What should we tell them? Because I’m not sure they’ll believe ‘hi, we’re 133 years into the future from you which is also when we got the distress call that you haven’t made yet!’ because I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t believe that.”

The various NE’s began to hustle to get the Armadillo class heavy shuttle, Tutelage ready for launch, meanwhile though everyone was still waiting for everyone else to arrive.

Masi considered what V’alura had said. She wasn’t necessarily wrong. “I suppose, we evaluate whether or not they’re in distress yet and go from there. If the ship is in trouble but they haven’t sent their distress call, they may have more cause to believe us. Assuming the design of our ship, shuttle, and equipment don’t count for anything.”

Miz’uki was to one side Scolding some lazy Engineers who had the misfortune of getting caught by her just standing around for a bit but she would finish dealing with them later she walked up to the shuttle and got aboard she of course was the only one really available so they would have to think of something to explain her looks other than just saying it was Complicated

“Just about ready Lieutenant?” Masi said seeing Miz’uki get on the shuttle. “We just need Lieutenant Anders and we’re good to go.”

“Yeah Im good to go Though I am not sure how I am going to explain my species to them…” she purred “I mean beyond what the captain said about keeping things vague and why are we not using the transporter I am sure they have transporters” she said

A nearby NE who was finishing securing some toolkits and spare parts on the shuttle seemed to overhear the chief engineer’s comment. “..I would guess ma’am, that Captain Andone’s request to use a shuttle would likely attract less impact on logs. While they did have transporters back then I think, their scans likely would reveal more of the differences in technology then just something visual like our shuttles would be..” He said.

Another NE commented to the first after this, “..True, but couldn’t they just scan the shuttle too and get the same effects in their logs? Which would still be an impact of the temporal prime directive.” She said.

The first nodded in thought, “..True there too! Maybe it’s got to do with being less of a possible danger if something haywire goes on while over there? Isn’t there supposedly some kind of temporal effect we’re worried on is what I heard..” the first said.

”..Hmm, well a shuttle would have more resources to fall back on if a temporal anomaly showed up! Where as such an anomaly could interfere with transporters either way, so maybe that’s it?” She replied. “…The Captain sure is a forward problem thinking person if that’s true, I’d never have thought of that!” she added.

Meanwhile at the front of the Armadillo shuttle, the NE pilot turned in his seat. “..Ok we all done yapping back there or are we getting this show on the road? At this rate this mystery temporal anomaly is going to show up or disaptate before we even launch!” he huffed in annoyance at the on going delays.
