Kalitta was sitting in the lounge relaxing playing a game of Klingon battle chess on her Padd. She then finished her tankard of blood wine and smashed it hard on the table infront of her. “BAR KEEP! MORE BLOOD WINE!” She yelled out.

It was clear to the NE waiter that Kalitta was ether in a very good mood or that she was very upset about something. Klingons always drank when they were happy and drank to drown their sorrows. But the NE didn’t want to get involved. To be hones Kalitta scared the man a little bit. To the point where he was unclear if he would want her as a doctor.

The NE cleared the empty tankard from the table and put a fresh tankard full of blood wine down. When he did this Kalitta only grunted and waved him away like an annoying little fly.

A human male, probably in his early thirties, came and sat down next to the CMO. He was dressed in civilian clothes, but nodded at the Klingon and said “maj choS. chaq maHvaD DechtaHvIS luchenmoH HIq quv nuv’e’ je.” <Good evening. May the gods bless us with drink and honorable foes.> HIs tlhlngan Hol was solid, with no discernable accent.

“Your pronounciation isn’t bad for a Human.”

He raised a finger to the bartender, who nodded and simply grabbed an unmarked bottle and a rocks glass from the back shelf and brought it to the man, setting it down in front of him. The man nodded in thanks, and poured a brown liquid into the glass. He then looked at the Klingon and said “Welcome aboard, Doctor.” and raised his glass to her.

Noting the pips on the mans collar she picked up her tankard and raised it. “May Kalas accept your soul in stovakor in glorious battle.” She then downed a large mouth full of blood wine.

“So Commander, what brings you around here so late? It is my experience that most humans like to be in their comfortable beds by 23:00”

Cochrane smiled wryly and took a drink, and then looked her in the eye and said “Some do. Some don’t. I would caution you against making assumptions about ‘most’ humans. Our behavior can be a surprise to many… including each other.” and he chuckled and took another drink. “So how are you settling in, Doctor? You predecessor had trouble adjusting. I hope that won’t be the case with you.”

“The only thing unsettling about being on a starfleet vessel is the luxuries you humans have an affinity for.” Kalita took another gulp of her blood wine and wiped her mouth with her sleeve. “It’s your state rooms, and your beds. The rooms are too large and the beds too soft.” Kalita paused as if in thought. “But I must admit since my last posting was another starfleet vessel”
(OOC: I can’t remember which ship.)
IC: “I am getting used to the extra room.” Kalitta motioned for the Commander to come sit at her table instead of at a table across from her. “Please sit with me. I don’t bite unless we are mating.”

“The same goes for me, Doctor.” Cochrane said with a twinkle in his eye and moved to the table as invited.

“Tell me Commander do you have any family?”

“I do. My father, mother, older brother, twin sister, and younger sister. My father and mother live on Vulcan. Younger sister as well. My twin is in Star Fleet as well, and my older brother is a ship architect with one of the larger ship builders in the quadrant. And you, Doctor?” he asked and took a sip of his drink.

Trax walked into a party of sorts as he was about to turn and leave he had a feeling to stay around a minute as he moved to the side of the door and stood there a minute as he soaked up the atmosphere. As he casually looked about the are noticing a few people he knew was here. But he stayed where he was for now.
