Main Sim - Fulcrum Runabout - Reality Bubble Tests!

[snip]The little Fayth seemed to consider the question. “..I…do not know?” she stated. “..Where did you come from?” She echoed then.
Sharah contemplated the little…the TINY version of herself in front of her. “I come from my parents. A male and female of my species combine their DNA to create a new individual of their species.” Okay so that was REALLY over simplifying the reproduction process, but it was accurate. “Do you have memories from before you appeared here?” She was really really tempted to use her telepathy but honestly this person was so tiny she wasn’t sure it wouldn’t hurt it.
OOC: Rob is the original energy bubble still there or did it turn INTO the mini Sharah?
OOC: In this case the original energy bubble turned INTO mini Sharah so the original one is gone the second one is present however!
The Mini-Fayth seemed to consider the question. “..I remember.....darkness? Emptiness? Voidness? I do not know if I have the words? Is that the right term? To describe what I feel..” Mini-Fayth said.
Meanwhile the computer chirped. =/\= Energy pattern confirmed. Current sample does not resonate with spatial bubbles outside craft on any known bands. =/\=
Caelian frowned and folded his arms across his chest. “These little buggers aren’t very theory-friendly, are they? I guess if they communicate with one another, they do it in a way that we can’t readily detect. I… don’t rightly know what to make of this, ma’am.”
“Well, until we get a better handle on these things, it’s probably best to keep them apart,” he grumbled, turning back to his console and tapping in a few commands. A white flash winked briefly to life inside the containment field as Caelian modified it to segregate the bubbles from one another. “Raising aft shields again.”
Attempts to snag another of the bubbles went off without a hitch and they soon had another bubble inside a containment field. The little Fayth looked at the bubble nearby with curiosity but no real recognition that seemed present.

Little Fayth reached out to the containment field and then as her finger touched it snapped it back shaking her hand out. “..Ouch!” she said in surprise. “..What was that?” She inquired.

It was then that Mazi giggled. She hadn’t meant to. Afterall, they were seeing a miniature version of the CSO on the pad acting like a doll and reacting like a child. It seemed comical to her. “I have to say I am amazed at the fact it actually says anything. Interesting that it didn’t understand the feel of the containment field, though. As energy, you would think it would recognize energy around it.” She was constantly monitoring the ship, shields and occupants to be sure nothing was occurring without their knowledge. She also wanted to be sure nothing was leaking in or out of the containment fields as she watched the almost hysterical scene unfold.

Little Fayth awaited an answer to her question, standing their looking between the group in turn. Meanwhile the other small reality bubble flickered in a stilled stance. Readings showed some kind of fluctuation was present among its energy matrix, though the computer could not make much headway in what this meant yet.

Caelian noted the change in the energy pattern in his log, kept an eye on the adjacent bands. The blip could have meant nothing, or it could have meant that another Fayth was about to manifest. He wasn’t sure. When the smaller version reacted to contact with the force field, he frowned and checked the sensor logs. At the setting it was at, it shouldn’t have had any adverse reaction to a material life form. Perhaps it was simply new to its corporeal form and any strong sensation was registered as pain.
“Sorry about that, little one,” he called over his shoulder. “We mean you no harm. It’s just there to keep us safe while we learn about one another.”
Mini-Fayth looked still confused, awaiting an answer to her query of what the shock had been from more precisely. “..But what was that?” she inquired again.
Humming thoughtfully to himself, he modulated the intensity of the containment field to more resemble that of a medical barrier. While it shouldn’t have allowed the smaller Fayth to roam the ship, he hoped that the contact would be less painful. “There. Hopefully that’s not so bad.”
OOC: Clarification when you mean a medical barrier do you mean the body hugging type or the more ‘room/area’ surrounding type? ATM the mini-fayth is in a small container with the forcefield emitted inside it. If its the ‘area’ type of field then are you releasing her from the physical container?
Turning to Sharah, he shrugged. “I’m going to guess that because its original form was energy-based the containment was a bit more adverse than we’d anticipated. Without more experimentation I can’t be sure, but I… can’t really conscience undue harm. Do you want me to beam the other sample back out into space, let it go? While you, uh, get to know yourself a little better?”
He couldn’t help flashing an impish grin before turning his attention back to his monitors.
—Caelian Weir, Engineer—
Sharah grabbed a medical tricorder and started scanning the MiniMe to see if she could determine what kind of life form it was. “Weir is it possible that she’s communicating with the other sphere and that’s causing the fluctuation?” Sharah shrugged this was not her area. “Yeah Weir let’s let the other one go. They are obviously living. We’ll have to figure out what to do with…myself, but let’s put the other back for now.” They might need to study them further. She knelt down to get eye level with…herself. She looked at the scan again. “What are you? I’m humanoid, do you know what you are?”
Lt jg Fayth, CSO
Readings of the tricorder showed Mini-Fayth was an exact physical match of Big-Fayth. Betazoid, humanoid, strong telepathy, etc. Curiously the strong telepathic abilities did not seem to be an issue for Mini-Fayth far as Big-Fayth could tell from observations. She also seemed to lack the full range of memories, and outright personality that Big-Fayth had obviously.
Mini-Fayth again considered the question posed to her. She looked down at herself then, up to Big-Fayth. “..I think I am too? I am you? Just smaller somehow.” she said.
Fayth honestly had no idea what to do. The scans showed she was just a tiny version of herself, that she was in fact real and life. They…no she had just helped create life, and not in any normal way that she knew of. “Well you are physically like me, but your memories, your…personality is different. We call this difference individuality.” She tried to filter the noise out and focus on the thoughts and feelings of her smaller self, but refrained from anything more than passive. She had absolutely no idea if the size of the mind mattered, it had never been....studied. How did it process energy? “Are you hungry?”
Meanwhile another fluctuation went through the second reality bubble, almost as if it was indeed resonating in time with Mini-Fayth’s confusion. The computer in turned chimed in showing sensor readings which looked to confirm this observation! There was some kind of harmonic link between Mini-Fayth and the second reality bubble for sure.

Sharah looked over at Weir, “Is that…are they connected?” If so it might be a bad idea to transport the other bubble away. It could harm the tiny person they had in the shuttle, and she couldn’t transport it out, the vacuum of space would kill her now.
