So given some new folks have arrived, I figured it a good idea to post a sim plot update! So onward and upward good readers!

During the dawn of 2397 the USS Ark Angel was on a routine cargo delivery mission to a border outpost after leaving Starbase 243. On their way there the ship had some strange anomalies crop up of a Christmasy nature causing havoc on the ship. Soon after the crew found the source to be an encounter with the mysterious Q entity, who informed the ship and crew they were to be studied and judged by the Continuum to settle some matter of debate. When inquired on what this debate form took and why Q explained the higher ups in the Continuum were curious to see how the Ark Angel crew would react to certain extremes. Without further prompting Q whisked the Ark Angel and crew to the impossibly distant GN-z11 galaxy, the furthest known galactic object on record, far beyond any hope of returning ever to their own galaxy without likely Q’s help. Leaving the crew to their fate Q vanished, saying he and the Continuum would be watching. Without anything left to do Fleet Captain Andone ordered a full status report where the crew found some minor damage to the ship. After repairs were performed the crew and ship followed a subspace broadcast that was heavily filled with marketing content to a nearby star system.

Before they left the nebula they had arrived in though the crew brought aboard a sample of Boridium ore which in the milky way was only known in an artificial sense, but here in this galaxy it seemed quite nature and steps were taken by engineering and science to study it and harness it as a secondary form of energy if needed. Along the way to this new system the science department and engineering department set about modifying the Ark Angel’s Fulcrum class scientific runabout for this conversion process. As they were doing so they discovered another unique property of this galaxy and region of space it seemed. That being what the crew eventually termed ‘reality bubbles’ which ranged in size from a small thumb nail to as big as or bigger then a runabout. It seems when they interacted with thinking beings these bubbles which radiated energy much like a transporter and replicator created what the person thought into reality. This caused much confusion at first from the science department when CSO Fayth worried about blowing up a sensor relay only for it to then happen.

Meanwhile elsewhere on the ship the security department dealt with two NEs who were fresh from the Academy and threatened to blow up the ship’s sauna with themselves in it if they didn’t get to talk to Fleet Captain Andone on how they were to get home. Before Andone could arrive to discuss things with the two half crazed NEs security broke their lock down on the sauna down and took them into custody. Andone determined for now the two NEs were to scrub the holding cells with toothbrushes by hand while remaining their until the medical or counseling departments determined they were sane and safe to return to duty.

Upon their arrival into the nearby system the Ark Angel crew found the system was a huge trading port. Ran by a race known as the Ovialiens a race of gelatinous like beings who believed in a religion known as The Great Abyss, and lead by a religious ‘priest’ called The High Elder One. The system’s trade hub in the system offered much for the crew to look into for information or trade goods but so far no one has gone that far. Other races some more primitive then the Federation ship others just as advanced all seemed to trade equally for different goods and services in the system. The High Elder One contacted the Ark Angel and after an exchange of words agreed to come aboard the ship for a diplomatic dinner to exchange information and speaking odd tones of how the Great Abyss had spoken highly of the ship and crew and their far off arrival of recent days.

While the diplomatic dinner is being hosted by much of the senior staff the CSO Fayth and a compliment of engineers and science JOs are aboard the now modified Fulcrum runabout back near the nebula they Ark Angel arrived in testing out their Boridium conversion process and recently making efforts to further study the reality bubbles. So far throughout all this Q and the Continuum have yet to show their faces since the ship’s arrival, what if anything they are doing is anyone’s guess.
