After leaving Weir in Engineering, Claude felt great. He had been stressing out about trying to find a way to use the boridium asteroid that had fallen into the Ark Angel’s lab. Finding a stable and repeatable solution to refining the asteroid took time. But in the end, it worked out and all indicators seemed to show that his process is correct. Noe to test it.

The Ark Angel is a busy ship, and the turbolift had to make a few stops before he got to Deck 13. The corridors were busy as well as the ship had been put on Yellow Alert. He didn’t know why, but that was not his concern. All he needed to do was to man his station and be ready for whatever came next.

Rounding the corner into the Main Science labs his eyes instinctly looked up at the CSO’s office on the upper level. Not seeing a light on, he figured her place was on the Bridge during a yellow alert. He knew she wanted to talk to him about the testing his refining theory on one of the shuttles.

He went to his lab and went back to reviewing his processes so that it could be replicated aboard a shuttle.

Fayth came in looking as tired as the rest of the staff. She had a brief break from the bridge and had come down here to talk to him about his modifications for the boridium. “The captain has cleared you for testing your power source on the science shuttle. But there is a lot of ship traffic in the near by system so no test till we know if the situation is safe. Also there are these interesting energy pockets in the nebula. Their energy signature is similar to our transporters or replicators. And they react to our thoughts, or more specifically our brain waves. So that’s a potential hazard to consider. I’ll be going with you to conduct some experiments on these energy pockets. So go ahead and start your modifications to the shuttle.” She stopped and took a breath, “Sorry that was a lot. How can I help you.”
