Scans of the bay did indeed show another anomaly passing through the main security scan hub for the bay. NE Nock was a security NE who had been working on said hub as it passed through him. He was currently over by one of the shuttles doing routine scans, innocent of the others doing their work.

Riley arched an eyebrow and handed the PADD to Fayth again, then pointed at the security ensign across the bay. “This is a problem,” he said lowly, almost a mutter, scratching his cheek. “They’re just energy - we should be able to reconfigure the shields to block them, in addition to navigation to avoid them.” He flipped open the tricorder he had used earlier to look at some of the energy readings. He looked toward the ceiling then, spinning the stylus in his right hand, then gesturing with it in the air.

She glanced at it and then showed it to Rainns. “I’d be interested to know what he was thinking.” She could probably pull the NEs thoughts from the noise around her, but to pinpoint it out of the swirling sea would take a great amount of concentration, but more it would be a horrible invasion of his privacy.

=^= Riley to engineering. I’m sending some data your way - energy pockets that are apparently common in this area of space. There are… issues with them interacting with the ship. I’ve calculated a frequency that should block them from entering the ship. Could you double check my numbers and get back to me on the feasibility of altering the shields to block them? =^=

He flipped the stylus into the air, where it spun three times before landing in his hand.

“What next, Boss?” he asked Fayth.

“The captain is on her way. Let’s see what she says before we move forward. In the mean time,” she called over to a couple of the science NEs to have them start assisting in repairs to the science shuttle.

Stand by.=^= After a heavy moment, Caelian’s voice continued, concern raw in his tone. =^=I believe I can modulate the shield harmonics to match the energy pockets, see if I can’t filter out the smaller ones and maybe deflect some of the less-stable larger ones. Without knowing more, I can’t guarantee that we can proof the ship against denser incursions. I’m stretched pretty thin here, but I’ll do what I can. Weir out.=^=

Finally Drudoc arrived in the shuttlebay. “..What seems to be the issue?” Drudoc asked to Fayth

Joseph looked over at the captain as she came in and then looked back to Fayth, he wasn’t sure himself what the issue was, and hoped Sharah would explain it in a way for a non science guy like himself to understand.
