Without a seconds pause they opened fire on the security team the larger ones sent a spear like energy charge their way that would initially knock two of the front most NE’s to the ground, but mostly were uninjured, the four blade armed smaller snake humanoids came charging down in a rush. The last two took positions to left and right of behind the larger snake attackers who also took cover near the doorways along the corridor using some unknown means to slither up the sides!! A pair of energy shots from the smaller pistol armed intruders came their way but for the moment didn’t hit anyone.

Tiglath stepped out of the turbolift into the middle of a firefight. Diving to the side wall and pulling out his phaser, he tried to slide along the wall to the nearest NE. He took aim at one and quickly fired before hugging the wall again.

No sooner had Tiglath come out of the turbolift and joined the in depth fire fight then the Ark Angel was felt going to emergency warp, a moment later the Serpent enemy units shuddered then collapsed as if their strings were cut, they were clearly dead. Call outs from other spots on the ship heralded the same…

Tiglath watched with a curious expression on his face. “So they are controlled, like a hive mind, except they have limited range.” He said thoughtfully, He turned to an NE.
“I’m going to report back to the bridge, I want you to study these things, try and learn as much about them as you can.”

He turned and walked back into the turbolift and back to the bridge.

An “Aye sir” came from one of the NE’s as Tiglath left.
