Tabris was on his way back to engineering when he heard the call coming in from Joseph and headed to an access panel. He knew well enough from both the firmness of his tone and the specificity of the location that what he was asking for not only had a very important reason, but it needed to be done now. Tabris accessed the local eps grid for the Gym and cut the relays to the system that controlled the heating elements, the door controls (which would have unlocked the door mind you but Tabris didn’t know about the work order to repair a melted lock just yet) and the forcefield. =/\= Tabris to Lieutenant Rainns, power to the saunas is shut off. Best of luck with your mission, Tabris out =/\=

With power cut the sauna shut down, though since the forcefield generator was on its own power source it was still blocking access. Thankfully common sense arrived to the two NEs just as the Captain was entering quickly into the area. “..Ok ok…we’ll come out peacefully..” They said to the security force.

Drudoc came up as the forcefield got lowered frowning at the two overreacting NEs. “..Report.” She said to Rainn and Logan.

“Well ma’am. We had to cut the locking mechanism that was on the door and cut all power from it. We erected a force field in place until you arrived ma’am.” She then gave a brief report to the captain.

Ensign Logan

Rainns smirk grew as the power was shut off. His eyes did not soften for a moment as the NE’s finally surrendered. As Andone came in, Rainns looked over to her, before he could debrief the Captain Logan spoke up. Rainns had no clue what in the heck she was talking about, he didn’t know if she was trying to cover for the ensigns or not, but he was not going to allow. “Captain,” He began, cutting Logan off. “These two locked themselves in the sauna, erected a forcefield, and threatened to kill themselves less they speak to you.” He said, the irritation in his glare at the NE’s and in his voice was palpable. “I am about to place them in the brig for insubordination and public disruption of conduct.”

“Sorry about that. I shouldn’t have said anything.” She said. She said.

Ensign Logan.

”..You seem to be doing fine Ensign Logan.” Drudoc commented.

Then turned to Rainn, “..So I was told..” She said eyeing the two NEs. “..Ensigns do either of you got something to say for yourselves?” She asked the two NEs.

”..We’re scared ma’am. I know you say we’ll find a way home but we just don’t see how that’ll happen.” NE Bills said.

”..Ensign Bills, you’re aboard a Mythology class ship, you were specially trained and expected to possibly perform your duties on extended missions. I know a situation like this is possible extreme but it was also an envisioned possibility to some degree..” Drudoc said.

NE Wills interrupted. “..But ma’am, we’re not even in our own galaxy or....or remotely close to it!” Wills said.

”..I am aware Ensign. But we’re all in this together, going off the deep end like this only causes problems to the morale and well being of the rest of the crew.” Turning to Rainn as neither seemed willing to reply any further she said. “..Take both to the holding cells, then get one of the counseling NEs down there to review their psychological health. They are then to cool their heels there for two days while cleaning out the holding cells to a spit and polish shine. Questions?” She asked anyone present.

That was all? Rainns anger amplified. These ensigns had disrupted his schedule, the Captains, and the engineering department’s, threatened to kill themselves, and tampered with ship equipment, for what? To tell the captain they were nervous about being flung across the universe? Did they think their anxieties were unique in that way? His fists, were clenched, his eyes were like daggers, stabbing at the souls of the NE’s.

Then came the Captains verdict, two days? just two? Rainns nearly exploded. As calmly as he could, he turned to Logan, “Get these miserable deckhands out of my sight.” He ordered, “Take them to the holding cells.” He held up his finger to the captain in a manner that implicated he wished for her to stay a moment after the rest departed.

Once everyone had cleared the room, he took a deep breath, attempting to calm himself. “Captain,” he began slowly, “Two days is not long enough, those two ensigns should be sitting there for at least a month, a slap on the wrist is not going to be enough to stop future mutiny like that.” Rainns knew he had just used a loaded term, but he felt it was proper. Two nobodies, demanding an audience with the captain, and threatening to kill themselves and damage the ship, was mutiny.
