OOC:
Looks like Trax has picked up the medical, so will work with it!IC:
“Happy to get going as soon as possible…” Flint said excitedly “Shall we kick off the interview?”.Flint was no stranger to medical interviews, but something about this particular one bought memories back. His parents had provided the guidance on how to handle himself in tough and decisive situations, hoping this was something he could bring to this posting.

OOC: Sounds good, interview it is.
Hayley gestured toward her office indicating he should lead the way. “After you.” Once they both entered the office she ordered a green tea from the replicator and took a seat behind the desk. “Feel free to grab something from the replicator before you sit down. Sometimes in Medical you never know when your next break will come along.”
Jr. Lt. Marshall, CMO
Flint walked over to the replicator and touched the request button “Water, Carbonated” he said, taking his drink and himself to the desk where the Cheif was sitting, he pulled back the chair and placed himself down.
“I have to agree there, even at the academy it was always non-stop” he said with a smile.
- Ensign Locke, Medical Officer
“I think that was their way of preparing us for the real thing. A career in Medical is not for the faint of heart” Hayley sipped at her tea, enjoying its fragrance and warmth. “So what are your thoughts on being here? Do you have a specialty or an area of particular interest?”
Jr. Lt. Marshall, CMO
Flint took a sip of his drink, oddly mimicking the CMO, and took a small pause as to where to go with the posed question, his parents paved the way for a particular field in medicine but Flint had other ideas.

With knowing he couldn’t reveal much of his assigned past, Flint went on as honestly as he could to his new CMO without breaking the rules.
“Really looking forward to becoming part of a structured environment” he said sheepeshly taking another sip of his water. “I have a keen interest in fieldwork, really getting stuck on and hands-on with modern medicine”.
Flint was guided towards pharmaceuticals from his youth, but he knew things were changing, his parents could not see the benefits of new world technologies and their advantages… “Slightly narrow-minded” he thought to himself.
“I also like to focus on nano technology for new medical research” he said.
- Ensign Locke, Medical Officer
“Structure is something we all look forward to isn’t it? We do our best around here but it is still Medicine after all. Sometimes things just happen.” Hayley wrapped her hands around her mug of tea, enjoying the warmth. “As for nano-tech, you are more than welcome to spend some time in research and study on it. We currently don’t have anyone with a focus in that direction so it’s all yours.” She smiled warmly. “I am happy to have a group with such diverse interests. It keeps us well rounded and up to date.” She paused for a moment, “Did you have any questions for me?”
Jr. Lt. Marshall, CMO
Flint was pleased with his new chief’s response on the nano-technology, it was something he’s been looking forward to pursuing over the next few years.
“Nothing that springs to mind” he said with a chirp “Looking forward to meeting the wider team and getting going”.
- Ensign Locke, Medical Officer
“Alright then,” Hayley replied, “I think that covers everything. Take this afternoon and tomorrow to finish your checks and get settled in. I will have a duty schedule forwarded to you by tomorrow evening.” Hayley smiled, “I look forward to working with you, Ensign.” Hayley gave the Ensign a final, slightly distracted nod and looked back down at her PADD. She was a little overwhelmed by all the ‘paperwork’ she had to complete for the new medical staff. It was a gentle, but obvious dismissal. Flinte could probably tell she really needed to get back to her work.
Jr. Lt. Marshall, CMO
Flint knew the CMO looked busy by her shift in scene and did not want to bother her any longer than needed.
Standing and responding to the nod, Flint placed his drink back onto the replicator before heading out of the office.
