Sharah walked back in as the alarms started going off. She jogged the rest of the way to the enclosure and watched feeling a little helpless. “Yeah Bad Boy I wouldn’t like it either.” She turned to Andrea, “Can you go down to Arboretum 3 and set up a quarantine area. There are some plants from the medical lab coming down and until I know what happened to them I don’t want them around anyone or anything biological.”

Andrea nodded more than happy to let the CSO deal with the extremely violent Frost lily.

Sharah stood there watching. It was never going to let her climb up there and remove the stuff. She grabbed a tricorder and entered the airlock. She suited up, having forgotten the nasal inhibitor and fought with her gag reflex for a moment. Then she entered staying near the door. She used the tricorder to try and get a reading of the lily along with the ‘decorations.’ Dodging the angry thing that was simply lashing out every which way she got the readings and then backed out the door. The way it was thrashing it was going to break the walls.

She removed the suit, waited for the airlock to pressurize to normal temperature and then exited. =^=Fayth to Jackson. Chief I’m sending some readings to your console. The first is the last normal readings for the Frost Lily habitat. The second is from just now. Someone has decided to throw holiday decorations in there with it and it’s not safe to go in and actually physically remove them. Do you think you could compare these and try to beam the stuff out?=^=

Attempting to restore back ups from the third core was a success, playing the logs showed a time red-white plump suited figure phase into the arboretum in a flash of light then in another flash the decorations appeared on the plants. Then looking at one of the cameras on audio was picked up ‘ho ho ho happy holidays!’ the mystery figure said.

Thankfully scans of the decorations were easy to isolate and it would be child’s play to beam them off the plants.

=^=Jackson, if this works, send that stuff straight to the recycler. It’s covered in Frost Lily nectar and it’s caustic. It will burn through most things. So get rid of it. It won’t be safe to use anywhere else.=^=

=^=Aye Lt. Thanks for the heads up.=^= Jackson replied. Grateful for the warning before that stuff hit his transporter pad. Chief Jackson input the two scans made some adjustments and a moment later the blue shimmer of the transporter engulfed the Frost Lily and then the lily reappeared no longer covered in holiday finery and then sending what was left to the recycler where it was safely consumed and stored as replicator rations.

Sharah watched the Frost lily to see if it was going to calm down now. If it didn’t she wasn’t sure what she would do. Maybe a forcefield to stop it from destroying the habitat until it wore itself out. She wasn’t sure. While she waited to see what would happen she checked the security feeds. Oh crap. =^=Fayth to Andone. It appears we have either a talented prankster or an intruder on board. I’m sending the file to Trainor’s station on the bridge now. I’m on my way there.=^= She sent the security feed to Trainor.

She looked around and motioned to NCivillian Snowman, “Keep an eye on the Frost Lily. Do the best you can with it. I have to go to the bridge.”

The moment the decorations were removed from the Lilly it began to calm down though it was still clearly very agitated Maybe an Early Hibernation was in order

Then a few minutes later. Suddenly in a flash everything was engulfed in white.

Andrea had just returned from setting up the quarentine of the medical plants down in Arboretum 3 when she was blinded by a white light. After blinking her vision into place she examined the arboretum to make sure nothing was amiss.

Then following Lt Fayth’s orders she began a very slow increase of temperature in the Frost Lily habitat. Slowly a half degree C each day until reaching -20 degrees C so that the plant would go to sleep for a little while.
