Joseph Rainns walked down the corridor with a stride. His face was painted by a smirk and his eyes were narrowed in a confident glare that befell several of his crewmates as he passed by. His confidence was authentic, having been promoted straight out of the academy, and then solving a murder, he felt skilled at what he did. In terms of his life plan, the young man was on track. A fiancé, a COS job, and nothing but positive prospects ahead for him. The next step on his ladder to success was Ark Angel. Joseph very much anticipated his own success here, he just needed to convince the commander to expect that as well.

He arrived at the proper office, took a deep breath, and pressed the chime.

A long pause was had by Rainns as no reply came forth. Finally an NLt behind him at one of the auxiliary support science stations spoke up. “..Captain is currently in the briefing room, Lieutenant. She had a stack of PADD work a mile high if you ask me so probably is using the extra table space to sort through it all.” He said gesturing to the other door across the way to the briefing room.
