Sharah nodded, “I would like to see it. Holograms hold a strange sense of relief and regret to them for me, but I’m always up to see a new program.”

Lt jg Fayth, CSO

“Well come along then,” Trax commented politely to her. As he started to enter the Holodeck there was a pleasant breeze blowing from the doors. They entered the holodeck to a massive building area near the parking lot full of cars. They picked a line to gain quick and efficient entry to the park. as they heard soft nice carnival-type music coming from the pa system. As an announcer came over along with the music “Welcome to Geauga Lake Park.” Trax had his season pass around his neck ready to show the Park entrance attendant as he showed his pass to the ticket agent. “Welcome back Mr. Suder and Guest.

As the Ticket agent made up an additional ticket for Fayth with her name on it and a lanyard for her to put around her neck too. “Your picnic area was prepared earlier according to the computer. You have the Garden pavilion to yourselves without anyone interfering with your experience for your dining pleasure and enjoyment.” the female agent said kindly to them as she ushered them through the gate to enter the park. She was going to offer them an escort to the area but she saw he had been there before so the ticket agent spoke up quickly. “Welcome to Geauga Lake Park and enjoy your stay! “She smiles as she waved them on. And waved to the next set of customers entering the park.

It was a unique experience, that was for sure. Sharah slipped the lanyard over her neck and took in the crowd. It wasn’t an experience she would have had with real people. Here, the people weren’t real, and she knew that, but it was like ready a book. She knew only what the author wanted her to know. There was no expectation or access to thoughts and knowledge that she shouldn’t have. The story was free to play out exactly like it was supposed to and not before it should. The characters in books were like friends that didn’t have any expectations of her or her of herself. She would learn about their personalities in a more genuine manner, and on the holodeck it was much the same. Sharah watched the characters move through the ticket booth and into the park taking off in different directions based on previously determined reasons, that if she cared to stop the characters she could talk to them and question them. “It’s an awfully busy place isn’t it?”
