After the meeting Sharah took the PaDD Trax had left and headed out. She’d offended him. She hadn’t meant to. She knew that he wasn’t trying to fix her. She was in pain and frustrated, but that was no reason to be rude to someone who was genuinely trying to help her. She stopped by sickbay but didn’t find him there. She was concerned as well because there had been this feeling of apprehension from him. She hadn’t pushed at it; that would have been rude and invaded his privacy. But as far as things went for her Sharah considered him a friend.

“Computer where is En Suder?”

She waited for the computer’s reply and then headed in that direction.

=^= “Ensign Suder is in Main Forward Lounge. Correction Ensign Suder is now moving towards holodeck 3.” =^= The computer replied quickly.

The Computer

Meanwhile in Main Forward Lounge Trax quickly ordered a simple picnic lunch from the bartender as he received his food. =^= “Computer if holodeck three is empty open an amusement park program marked Geauga Lake Amazuement Park early 20th century 1986.” =^= Trax commented calmly. =^= Program loaded and ready=^= the computer replied as he exited the lounge and moved on a quick course to the holodeck. It took no time to get to the holodeck where he was a simple ride on a lift here and there.

Sharah wasn’t far from holodeck 3 and she wanted to catch him before he got there. She rounded the corner and saw him and approached him. “Trax?” She wasn’t sure he wanted to talk to her. She used telepathy because she wanted him to be able to sense her sincerity as well as her words. ~I’m sorry if I offended you earlier. I didn’t mean to. I didn’t think you meant to ‘fix’ me. I was very frustrated and should not have taken it out on all of you.~ She held out his PaDD. “You left this in the arboretum. I wanted to return it to you.” She hesitated, but couldn’t seem to help herself. ~Is everything alright? You seem....rattled?~

Trax felt a presence as he stopped as he heard and saw fayth in his mind. As He thought to her. ~Hello Fayth.~ As he stayed calm as he listened to her without interrupting. ~I understand you were tired and frustrated and you being badgered by all the questioning and ideas did not help much. I am sorry I had to leave.~ Trax thought to her again as he continued. ~ You did not offend me, Fayth, I can’t exactly know what you are going through but I have had family that did suffer the same affection and I wish we were closer but the affection prevented that at times along with hospital stays and other treatments. I never saw him again after he left for a mission. and living on Shandra V.~ Trax said with a mellow tone in his mind. ~thank you for returning the padd. it was recording the minor impromptu conference we were having. except for the telepathic parts. I will add them later.~ It took him a minute before he finally spoke about the problem he was receiving in the arboretum. ~As for my mad dash out of the room earlier I felt like I was being watched again and it felt not friendly.~” Trax tried to convey his feelings. ~All of the sudden I did not feel safe.~ Trax finished.

Sharah was concerned. The feeling of malevolent watching was of concern to any telepath. ~Can I help?~ Her gift as it was, could be a great asset to him at this point. There was very little that could hide from her. Whether or not she could do anything to the presence or would be able to identify it in a scientific maner, was a question, but she could track it. Then his comment about his family registered and she couldn’t help her sudden excitement which she clamped down. ~You know Tam Elbrun? He’s your family?~ Then she shook her head, ~I’m sorry, that’s not important. You’ve felt this presence before?~

“I am feeling a bit better now ” As he spoke in a soft tone. “You’re more than welcome to join me or Care to join me I am going to have something to eat since I technically missed it during the meeting. And you might find this of interest too. I found this place in an old archive search a few years ago.” Trax asked her. He tapped a few controls on the holodeck control pad. As the doors opened to sounds of light carnival music in the background escaping the holodeck. As he waited for her reply.

Sharah nodded, “I would like to see it. Holoprograms hold a strange sense of relief and regret to them for me, but I’m always up to see a new program.”
