“Geoff, nor any of the plants, are a burden. They bring me a lot of peace.” Sharah really isn’t sure what else to say or if she should. Her plants are personal, but Geoff belongs to Tabris. “I…I might could teach you. Geoff is sentient so it might work. I don’t know. As far as I know there is no other empath, anywhere, that can sense plants like I do. But sentient plants are much like small animals, so it would be possible, I think. But you probably would rather stay away from me.”

Tabris nodded and said, “I would like nothing more than to learn from you.” He said with a pause as he thought ‘I’d like to give you a hug out of comfort but I don’t dare without permission. “I still forgive you and invite you to react to my thoughts if you wish. I also would love to learn from you.”

Tabris might be willing to forgive her, but she wasn’t. Sharah lived in a world where even other telepaths found her to have a lack of discipline. The problem with that was they had no idea. They had no idea how disciplined and strong she really was. And to show them could hurt them. So she lives to a higher standard than they could possibly imagine, and she gives no room for mistakes. And there were the rumors that Tabris overheard. She looks down her ring catching her eye I love you, Sharah. Stop being afraid.

Today though she’d spent a large amount of time with the XO, CNS, and doctor. It wasn’t a pleasant experience but it was a good one. So n the flip side of her shame and self directed disappointment is the crew of Ark Angel. Who, at least those she directly worked with, were accepting and kind. They wanted to help and let her be her. Which was overwhelmingly confusing to Sharah. “I would be happy to try and show you.” She looks around, “I seem to have stepped into the middle of your work. I’ll move out of the way.”
