Vulcan children we so volatile at this age, the XO wasn’t particularly concerned but the Romulan people were a proud race, deserving of respect.

Dinui had been about to go break up the fight but it had been handled by the First officer. She walked forward holding out more of the pastries. “Children fight, sometimes over the silliest things. I apologise that this was over sticky treats and the rest I will help look into.”

Dinui xi’Indrai, Doctor moving to Counseling (Natural blue so you don’t have to be).

The Vulcan teen Ron’al just shuffled his feet a bit clearly knowing this was going south in a hurry for him. “..Yeah well she started it!” He said pointing to Tel’eck with a mutter.

Sharah turned to look at him. “More disturbing than fighting, young Ron’al, is lies. Do not lie to Lt Cmdr Soval.” Sharah knew, from the thoughts attached to his words that he had teased Mary first by stealing her pastry and refused to give it back when Tel’eck told him. He had hit her first, but wanted to blame her for standing up to him. Sharah knew bullies and at that moment that was what Ron’al had decided to be.

Tel’eck said nothing back at the jibe, simply nodding to the XO and Fayth. Tapping her civilian comm badge she said quietly but clearly into it. =/\=..Tel’eck Andone to the Captain. I need you to report to the XO’s office within an hour. I’ve been involved in an altercation in 17/18 Forward..=/\= she said

There was a long pause before the ship’s Captain replied. =/\=..Understood, Tel’eck. Tell Commander Soval I will meet him in his office in 20 minutes. Are you ok?=/\= She asked at the end.

=/\=..A little roughed up but nothing serious, ma’am..=/\= She replied dutifully much as Drudoc herself was in quality.

=/\=..Very well I’ll see you in 20 minutes.=/\= Drudoc replied ending the call.

Seeing this Ron’al muttered under his breath before tapping his own comm badge. =/\=.. Ron’al to Lt Faval, I need you to report to the XO’s office in 20 minutes. I was..=/\= he paused glancing at Tel’eck angrily giving air quotes with his fingers to spite her, =/\=…in an ‘altercation’ in 17/18 Forward..=/\=

Again there was a pause before a stoic Vulcan male’s voice replied. =/\= I see, I have warned you about your emotions controlling your actions. No matter I will see the XO at his office in 20 minutes.=/\= The Vulcan said calmly before ending the call too.

Rubbing the slight blood seeping from her bloodied nose away, Tel’eck wiped it on the hem of her pants. The younger children remained quiet during this, though clearly didn’t think much of Ron’al, and seemed to think the world of Tel’eck for defending one of their own. Under the watchful eyes of the XO and two off duty security NE’s the four would head for the XO’s office.

=^=Soval to sick bay, please dispatch a Corpsman to my office for the treatment of minor contusions.=^=

Tel’eck Andone & Friends

=/\= Aye sir on our way =/\= Came an NE’s reply

Sharah walked over to Mary, who was crying over the loss of her pastry. She picked her up and soothed the little girl. She looked around at the rest of the children. “Cmdr. before we go, perhaps we should speak to each of the children to find out what happened?” Having spent so much time with Joseph, she also knew there was a faster way, “Or,” she looked at both Ron’al and Tel’eck, “We can check the security feeds.”

Lt. jg. Fayth, CSO

Just as Fayth was suggesting this an NE medic came into 17/18 Forward and quickly assessed the situation. Tending to Ron’al first she applied a patch for his busted right eye and broken bleeding nose. Turning to Tel’eck the NE did the same commenting, “..You’re luck you don’t suffer the same blood problems the Captain does, Tel’eck.” the NE said.

”..Lucky me I guess..” Tel’eck quietly replied. Then regarded Fayth at her questions. “..Reviewing the log would show the events properly in context, but we could do that at the XO’s office right?” She queried.

Tel’eck Andone & Friends

“Yes Mr. Tel’eck we can, and in an attempt to localize this public display I believe it is best.” Turning to the Corpsman, “If neither of them need to go to sickbay, we have a meeting to attend.”

After the XO left with Tel’eck and Ron’al, Sharah gathered the other children at a table to let them finish their pastries. They all offered Mary a piece of theirs because she had lost hers. “Before we do that. Let’s wait to eat them. Let me see if I can get Mary a new one. If not I love that you are all so willing to share with Mary.” Sharah knew most of the children by sight as they came in to the arboretum with their families often. She looked at Dinui, “Is it possible there is an extra one for Mary? Hers was stolen.” She tried to speak softly to keep Mary from getting upset again. But Sharah had a hard time with it. She didn’t like bullies, and bullies who attacked those smaller and younger than them (which was most of the time) really upset her. Plus Mary was a child, and children’s emotions ran strong and loud and Sharah most certainly did not need Mary to get going again, and get caught up in the emotional turbulence of the children.

Lt. jg Fayth, CSO

The children who remained behind soon cheered up at Fayth’s words. They were a good group of kids despite running in age from 4-9 years of age from a variety of the species parents around the ship. With the chaos from before having calmed down the children were soon discussing more common topics to their age groups. The wait staff too were quick to come out and clean up the disturbed and knocked over tables that Tel’eck and Ron’al’s fight had produced.

NE Children

Obtaining and extra pastry for Mary, Sharah finally set the child down at the table with her friends. Unconsciously, Sharah was sending out soothing feelings to help the children calm down. It wasn’t something she really did on purpose. It was a habit she had developed while being a doctor to help her patients relax. She wasn’t even away she was doing it. It was an instinctual response and not very strong. One of her patients had once described it as ‘fresh baked chocolate chip cookies.’ Sharah sat with them while they ate. The children, all of them, had been very upset by the fight between Tel’eck and Ron’al. Sharah got the impression from them that, the younger children especially, didn’t like Ron’al. She hoped this wasn’t a pattern for the young man. She got up and quietly walked out of ear shot, contacting each of the parents. She quietly explained, first that their children were fine, but 2 they had been present during an altercation with the older children, and thought it would be best if the parents came to collect the little ones.
