Sharah didn’t feel like sitting in her quarters tonight. She felt like she’d been cooped up in one lab, room, or another for days. She decided to take a long walk around the ship to stretch her legs, but eventually the unending view of bulkheads was as confining as being stuck in the lab. She decided she’d rather do some star gazing. She made her way to the observation lounge, rather than 17/18 Forward, hoping it would be quieter, relatively anyway. She stepped through the door and saw Lt Miz’uki sitting by one of the windows. “Oh, I’m sorry Lt. I didn’t mean to disturb you. I can leave if you prefer some privacy.”

Sharah nods and finds a seat at a window staring out the window, wondering where a different ship is at the moment and what’s going on there. After a few moments of silence, Sharah realizes she failed to continue the conversation and has no idea if she was supposed to or not. “What was her specialty?”

Ship Design she helped design and build the Mariner class and served aboard the USS Merrimack!” she said as she continued to draw what appeared to be a design for a starship another pad nearby had calculations and specifications noted for this design she was working on it did not have a class name just yet but it appeared to be a rather small and fast ship heavily armed and armored but also had a fighter wing aboard

“Oh wow. I’ve never seen a Mariner class up close, but my brother did. He’s a security officer. He says it was beautiful in its practicality and layout. He loved it.” Sharah smiles thinking about her brother. “I’m not sure if that sounds like praise, but it is from him.” She looks briefly at the drawing. Sharah understands basic engineering but would never be able to create something like that. But she does sketch, quite well, and can appreciate the details and skill it takes to design a ship spec.
