Codem sat down, pulling out the PaDD as he did so. “Not a whole lot to report on that front. We were on a mission to search for a planet known as Pandiri, but we had taken a slight detour to get some scans of a newly formed Nebula for Starfleet’s science branch to study. Shortly after we began those scans, a ship decloaked from behind us, shot us with some sort of torpedo-like weapon, then cloaked and disappeared before we could fire back.”

After a few moments of thought to come up with a viable way to explain the damage, he continued, “they seemed to know our ships, they knew right where to hit to do the most damage yet not completely destroy the ship, or knock out life support. It’s…an odd pattern, to say the least.”

Taking up her own PADD to run a check on what the Montezuma had been up too out this far in space and what class of ship it was. The more they knew the better they could get this search and rescue underway.

“The Montezuma.” Codem said, simply.

The search would reveal that the Montezuma was listed on a “self-assigned” scientific mission, located in a newly formed Nebula known as the Lion’s Mane Nebula, due to how it’s ring-like shape flared out from the center. The Montezuma’s class listing showed that it was a ‘refit’ Galaxy class, with no mention on what the refit entailed or how the ship had been changed. Mission assignment logs showed no mention–by name–of this mythical Pandiri, however a brief line did mention a planet.

“While there, perform sensor scans. Long range scans show a planet less than 3 light years from the nebula, however, ships in the area have not seen such, so it could have just been a sensor glitch or shadow of a long gone world.”

”..So why were you in the shuttle we found you in? If the ship was disabled but not lost with all hands why not send out a warp buoy probe or distress call?” She inquired. Drudoc could not help asking the question the part of her that would forever be inquiring about every detail was duty bound to ask.
