As you may have noticed, I’ve updated the MOTD to reflect some events coming up in the next few days and beyond:

Friday, Aug. 17th- Star Trek Watch Party: 9pm in Discord (Events channel); discussion on this board to follow. Separate post will follow with details.

Saturday, Aug. 18th- Live RP: 8-11pm Eastern. Sim is run by David Eads and will take place in the events channel, OOC stuff in main chat. More info will be forthcoming on this board.

Also! For The Writer’s Hub, Tony and I are going to working on putting together events, discussions and articles on the craft of writing. Some things to look forward to:

-#flashfictionfridays: here and on social media, get creative with some flash fiction writing prompts!
-Short Story Competition. It’s back! Star Trek theme as usual. Submissions will be due early October. Get thinking and writing! (more info to follow)
-NaNoWrimo: everyone’s favourite November event (Nation Novel Writing Month) is a chance to crank out writing and worry about the results later. In the next couple months we’ll be giving guidance about things to think about as you plan to write your novel. We’ll also host an STF NaNo group to support and encourage your efforts.
