This Friday begins our weekly (hopefully) Star Trek episode/film watch party. Jeremy and I have come up with a basic plan and we’re just going to try it and see what happens.

This obviously will only work for those who have access to the series DVDs or streaming services that have them on, but if you don’t, maybe you have a friend or family member you can borrow it from and you can even check if your Library carries them. You never know!

The Details

What: Episode Watch Party
When: Friday, Aug.17th; 9pm Eastern. (We will alternate Fridays and Saturdays to as many people as possible can participate)
Where: Discord chat (Events channel- enter !events in the Starbase channel to join).

How it works: We will all start the episode at 9 together. People are free to chat about things in the events channel as we watch. A discussion will follow on the Ten Forward board on Tues Aug.22. So if you can’t watch with us, you get a few days to watch the episode and can chime in there.

And that’s the gist! Feel free to ask any questions you may have. DISCLAIMER: This is for fun as fans. If you really hate a series and only have negative remarks, you may want to skip that week’s watch. We can have differing opinions, but outright bashing of a series (ie. “it’s so stupid, I don’t know why anyone would watch it”) or anyone’s like/love of a series/season/characters will not be tolerated and you will be barred from future participation. You have been warned.

Now for the part you all want to know. What are we watching? Our theme for the next few months is Cast/Production/Roddenberry Favourites. It will be a mix of all main series (except Discovery, obviously) and I will keep changing up the series/season so if there’s one you don’t like, we’re not watching it back-to-back.
