Welcome to the 2023 STF Awards. The only Awards show in Space! Fictional space anyways. Tonight let us celebrate the writers and characters that make STF a wonderful roleplay site to be a part of. So everyone, grab your popcorn and your drinks and enjoy the show!

Most of the ships we roleplay on have had one or several members collaborate in making the design. This award goes to the ship class that has stood the test of time.

MOTDs are the vital locations to gain knowledge about what is going on in a department, and a well designed MOTD is helpful in providing that info in an easy to navigate manner. This award goes to the best designed Department MOTD.

Similarly a roleplay location’s MOTD is just as important as a Department’s, where you can find who your department head is as well as posting limits. This award goes to the best designed RPG Area MOTD.

We’ve done the best Department MOTD, and we did the best rpg-Area MOTD but what about the best Fleet MOTD? We present this award to the Fleet with the sleekest MOTD design.

The master of code and design. This award goes to the STFer with the greatest eye for design and user interface.

Following are the awards for best junior officers. Junior officers are the lifeblood of ships and other roleplay locations. Without them Gamemasters would only have nameless ensigns to torture. To that end we will be honoring the best junior officers.

The command staff for a ship are vital to keeping the ship running. They do the administration, gentle email reminders to post, and running the sim that everyone either loves or scratches their head in consternation at what to do next. Without the CO, XO, and GM the ship wouldn’t be running nearly as smoothly, if at all.

For every commanding officer there is a commanding number one. Today we present the award for the best executive officer to. . .

This award goes to the officer with the most commanding voice and the most comfortable chair on the bridge. Here is the best commanding officer.

A Gamemaster is key to an engaging and fun sim. A GM guides the crew towards conflicts and rolls with the best solutions provided by the crew. They tell stories in an interactive way not found anywhere else but here.
Best Gamemaster: Gene Gibbs

Within the ranks of Gamemasters are those who delight in the wailing and lamentations of their crew. They often se tup a no-win scenario where a poor, hapless NE dies because you did something wrong. These nefarious GMs get a whole category just to themselves.
