It’s back!

Nanowrimo is officially starting (some of you are already getting going, lucky you)!

Russ wrote a great little primer on what NaNo is (https://www.star-fleet.com/core/command/ooc/notes/15350/), so be sure to check that out if you want more information.

We’re going to try to support all of you participating, in whatever way you’ve decided to. We’ll have some write-ins, check-in threads etc.

So if you’re participating, tell us what you’re working on. Are you a NaNo tranditional or rebel? What is your goal?

For me, I’ve been too ill to do much work in any of my non-STF writing projects, so I’m being a rebel and not only am I not drafting a new piece, nor aiming for 50,000, I’m not even keeping track! I’m going to do the social stuff when I can because that’s the most beneficial to me at this time.

It has started for me, 2 hours in and I’ve done almost 3000 words. Actually it is related to STF and not really part of my ‘official’ work for this November.

I’m actually hoping this helps me feel like being creative far more in STF than I have for most/all of the year. I am hoping to get close to 50,000 across all the writing I’ll be doing across multiple projects, including ship posting here.

A great many of the Nano regions have transitioned from IRC to discord, and if anyone wants to hook up with some, catch me in Discord and I can send you an invite to Elsewhere Australia, my home region, and PA elsewhere in the US. I wandered into the PA elsewhere channel in IRC when that was easy to do and never left, so they adopted me as their token Aussie, and they appreciate my madness as much as all of you.

Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan is a character that makes it into each of my nano works and this year is a white cat that is a campanion to a witch who currently goes by the name ‘Witch’.

My work there is currently a fantasy heist novel, though that could be changing.

And there you go, another 225 words which means I’m over 3000 words and off to bed.
