Since X-Fleet has now been raised in a prior post…

1) What do you believe the purpose is of X-Fleet?

To create less restrictive RP environments for members to flex their creative skills.

2) For those candidates who believe one of the purposes of X-Fleet is (or should be) creating more alt-RPGs in the main fleets, why do you believe previous proposals for such a system have failed? Can you point to specifics of those prior proposals and what you would suggest needs to be different?

I never said that I felt this was one of, or should be, a stated purpose of X-Fleet. But as the second SOX, I have always felt that highly successful X-Ships should have an avenue in place to petition to join the Main Fleets. I love what the X-Fleet is and wish it were utilized more. What I do feel, is if… for say six months… an X-Ship is consistently performing on at least same level as a Main Fleet slow ship, the invitation should appropriately be made by the interested FCOMM(s). At that point, the Executive would then see if the ship had, in fact, met Main Fleet standards… and if so, reward said crew with Main Fleet placement.
