Hello folks.

So just to clarify regarding what is and what is not an acceptable post on the election ship.

At present, candidates are permitted to post their platform and ideas.

Non-candidates are at present permitted to post nominations during the nomination period and also questions to Candidates. When the endorsement phase opens this will then also be permitted.

Questions to candidates are meant to be just that: questions to candidates. In some instances, questions posed may require the member asking the question to provide context to the question, which is acceptable so long as the purpose of the post is to ask one or more questions to one or more candidates.

Posts not directed at candidates, non-endorsement posts expressing support for candidates, and posts that are not questions are examples of posts not allowed from non-candidates.

However, non-candidates may post thanking a candidate for answering the question, with follow up questions or to signify their line of questioning is at an end at that point in time. This is perfectly acceptable.

Lengthier posts from non-candidates should be a question. If you post such you will be informed and given the chance to rephrase your post into an appropriate question.

And for further clarification

1.Critique of an answer either shouldn’t be included or should be a new specific question.
2.Praise of an answer should be left for when endorsements open.
3. It is expected that candidates and none-candidates remain polite in their questioning and responses. Some decorum if you please.
