Greetings STF!
While Sarah and I have spent a lot of time around STF, and have talked to a lot of you, I’m sure there are still a few people out there who we haven’t met. Or maybe some of you are just curious to know the secrets we are hiding in the closet!

So why not start off with a bit of an introduction!

My name is Steve, and I’ve been around here for quite some time now. I joined the group back in December of 1999, and since then have done a little bit of almost every job around here. Having served as Commanding Officer of both, what is now, Starbase Magellan, and the Chimera, Fleet Commander, Personnel Director, Academy Commandant, Vice President, and even President. Needless to say, I’ve been around the block.

I’m always open to talking to people, and you can usually find me in Discord, just look for the Gorilla! But enough about me, let’s hear from Sarah!

Like Steve, if you hang out at all in Discord, you probably know who I am (just look for the pink Yoshi!). I joined STF way back in 2001, but left the club on a decade-long hiatus in 2008. I came back in March of this year and I’ve slowly become more involved since then, starting as 2APDir and then Engineering Director and CO of the Challenger.

During my previous time in STF, I held a pretty big variety of positions that I’m not going to list out since it was over ten years ago and I doubt anyone cares. The most important (government-wise) was that I served as President for two and a half terms.

You might be thinking, whoa, look at these guys, they’ve been around forever! And I think that is part of the point. Why do we keep coming back to STF? What drew Sarah back from her break to this club?

It’s the people. The community. We keep coming back here because we are having fun!

Over the next couple of weeks, we will be giving all of you some insight into just what we think we can do, along with all of you, to help move STF into its next chapter. But we will always have in the back of our minds that idea of community, or the fact that we are just here to have fun!

So please, if you see us in Discord, send us a message, or just say hi. We want to hear from you. Because after all, we are chosen by you, our members, to help lead this club.
