Hi all,

We also have the fun of a slight irregularity. I do not believe it violates the integrity of the election process, however the Election Season will need to start no earlier than Saturday 13th June for the following reasons:

LEGEO requires the President to announce the Election Coordinator two weeks prior to the start of the Election Season (which is defined as ‘the period of time starting with the beginning of the nomination period and ending with the announcement of the final election results’). I also believe it is important that we give members time to consider whether they want to run, and to organise any campaign - which I also believe is the intent behind the two week notification period. This is particularly important as this election is running a month before when it would have normally been run under the previous verion of LEGOE.

LEGEO may not be amended during an Election Season. As a bill modifying LEGEO was posted on 23rd May, there are still a few days were EGO could veto it. Whilst unlikely, that possibility means that LEGEO is not in a finalised state until 4th June.

It also gives me chance to make sure I have the right accesses :).
So, without further ado, the election timetable is as follows:

| Final voting round opens / Results announced | 00:01 EDT - Saturday 4th Jul |
| Final voting round closes | 23:59 EDT - Friday 10th July |
| Results announced (if required) | 00:01 EDT - Saturday 11th Jul |
Notes:
- During the nomination period, validated tickets are allowed to campaign and members can ask questions.
- Should three or more tickets run, a preliminary voting round will be held. The two tickets with the most votes will be taken forward into the final voting round, and the election will end on Saturday 11th July. Should two tickets run, a single round of voting will be run, with the election ending on Saturday 4th July. If only one ticket runs, the election will be considered uncontested, and the election will end on Saturday 27th June.
The new Presidential term will either start at 00:01 EDT on Wednesday 1st July, or the first Monday after the end of the Election, whichever is the latter. I will confimr the date when the results are announced.
I will post a reminder of the key rules on Saturday 6th June.
