Well now you know what we want to do and now I want to take the time to talk about myself. As most of you know we like to give out nicknames here is STF and mine is Armadillo. Don’t ask me why I picked that name other than they are cute, yellow and live mostly in TX. Which brings me to who I am. Born and raised in Texas I grew up just outside of Austin Tx. A great city then and now with great music and outdoor things to do. If you have not visited it then you should mark it down. I grew up loving all the things kids do. Comic books (Defenders Go), American Football, Agatha Christie mysteries and of course Star Trek. Went to school on most days so I could make it to the summer where there was backyard spaceships and super heroes and the like.

As an adult I spent most of my time as a police detective. I did this because I believe in community service and helping others. I really do. Its the main reason I’m running for President. I want to give back to STF and help it into the future. My STF career, so to speak, has been great. I remember I had broken my arm pretty bad and was laid up in a bed for some time after surgery. I looked for something to do and was researching Star Trek sites and Clubs and found this one. Immediately I saw there was something special here and joined. With one hand, my off one because the other one did not work yet, I began creating a character and typing post in the Academy. Not easy I will admit but I really, really enjoyed the Academy ship, the Challenger, I was on. The group I went through with was great and about 3 of us bonded well. Our instructors were awesome. Sorry for sounding excited but I was at that time and look back fondly on that experience.

I have went on to being the CO, of an Academy ship, plus a COS and an XO in my attempt to give back to new cadets. I am currently the CO of the Olinski which I have been for a long time. I’m not counting days but its been a few years. I love, love the ship and crew. Its a blast. That also counts my XO role on Oed and my CE role on the Wolverine. Which I secretly love because that character is just too much fun. Go read the ship if your interested. He will be up to shenanigans I am sure. Its not all about what I get from STF either. Its what it gives me. Friendships and an outlet for my writing. In fact I have written two online self released books about fantasy because I’m a big Tolkien fan as well. I have also learned how to write and manage HTML code and a few other things. I’m no programming expert but I now can put up a webpage on my own and that is thanks to STF.

Currently I’m a consultant but frankly I wrote this so you all can get to know me and not my employment record or awards etc…This is why I want to be your President. The love of the game, the Club and the friends here. I still feel like I have more to give STF or more correctly more owed. Oh and I used to play D&D sometimes but that’s another story. In closing I want to say thanks. Thanks for the privilege to run as President and share my story with you.
