Good evening everyone, so first off let me apologize if somehow this post is duplicated or such, my posting of it kept flaking out two times now in a row. So here is hoping third time is the charm?

Anyhow, as I have already touched on in other posts, Matt and mine plans if elected next term is to begin a no doubt lengthy process to take major STF guidelines for major positions, and make a more digestible and easier to read version of them for everyone to be able to read and understand the general process of what is involved with that role. It would draw upon those older members who had long held such roles to the standards in said documents and provide better explanation of how to do such things for those roles.

Just to highlight a short but non-comprehensive list of such positions we are targeting would be Fleet Commanders/Assistant Fleet Commanders, CO/XO duties and ship maintenance and administration, major Cabinet Department duties and functions, as already mentioned things related to the STF Awards, and more.

The general format would be something like (note: My example below is in brief, and not depreciating a full in-depth overview of that highlighted role):

Q: “For a first time applicant to be an FComm/AFComm what should I expect to do?”

A: “You would be expected to do XYZ with coordination of your fcomm/afcomm partner over 8 months, you would be looking at ship health, helping to fill vacancies etc…”

Then we could below the general answer provide applicable quotes from past members of STF who made say mistakes or missteps or things to watch out for to provide advise in the future.

In short the base ‘how to’ would come from the current standards (as in the above example) from FCOMM and other associated documents in a short concise version. It would provide easy to find links to say the fleet report page, what the FComm/AFComm have to do upon assignment, how a president would assign permissions or who to contact, etc. More details or even if preferred less details could be provided as the documents take shape. It may even be something which could span multiple terms to fully achieve depending how in depth we wish to go with different positions being described. For the next term Matt and I want to focus on at least starting if not finishing the FComm, PDept, STF Awards, and general admin permission points worked on (in relation to these prior three major points). If we can get these done or more then that is awesome, but our main focus is on those areas to start.
