I’m curious to know what you think is the clubs biggest strength and what is it’s biggest weakness

Also how would you answer the question ‘Why’ without any further information.

Good morning Cale, thank you for your question here. To answer your first part of your post, I would say STF’s biggest strength is its community. As for its biggest weakness I might say how we pass on knowledge to people new to different roles is not always clear or consistent across the board.

To the ‘why’, for the first part STF simply wouldn’t exist without those who roleplay here. Whether its the newest member or the oldest member on our ships. To the same being applied to our government. Simply said without people wanting to roleplay and help run STF we would not be here.

To the ‘why’, for the second part, over the years I have been in STF, learning something new is sometimes a vague experience. People passing on knowledge will give new comers a link to a document in STF’s library and say ‘read this’ and then after that give a hands on demo to do something. However, while this simplication of how many and myself have gotten trained is ok, there is often a ‘drift’ of sorts in clarity, purpose, and other minor details that often over time get missed, or forgotten about and that the library documentation does not always cover or only briefly mentions. In short how one person gets trained is not consistent to how another person gets trained, or worse if at all.
