Hello Command land,

It gives me great pleasure to announce that the Assistant Fleet Commander for the Foremost Fleet this term will be the wonderful Melissa Aragon.

I would also like to announce that, with permission of the President, the foremost fleet will also be appointing a Second assistant fleet commander (2AFComm) and that person is Ben Simons.

Ben will be joining Melissa and myself on the Foremost fleet team this term in a training role.

Tech please can the AFComm email forward be updated to Melissa when you have time.

The FCOMM bylaw currently states:

“Each Fleet Commander is required to appoint a single Assistant Fleet Commander.”

Perhaps we should discuss if we want to change that or not.

That is true, however we do create random positions in places across the club that aren’t in the bylaws. Melissa is the assistant fleet commander. Ben is acting in a training role, I could have called it Fleet Command assistant but went with similar to other depts.

I’m not sure if we need to have it as a discussion with that in mind but if it is an issue maybe we should in that there is conceivably no reason why we should train or mentor more members in positions if everyone involved is keen.
