With Nate’s resignation, it is time for us to have another EGO election!

Before we go any further, I am declaring this an irregular election. Typically upon resignation, a new member is selected to join EGO to fulfill the remainder of the person’s term. In this case, Nate’s current term is only for 6 more weeks. Because of this, I am deciding to pull ahead our regular election schedule, and the winner of this election will start immediately, serving the remainder of Nate’s term as well as the standard 2 year term for EGO (pending any discussions on going at this time), starting July 1st.

Candidate Eligibility
1. Hold a minimum member rank of Fleet Captain
2. Been an active member for at least eight continuous months prior to the election being held (excluding routine Leaves of Absence).

Voting Eligibility
1. Must hold a minimum rank of Fleet Captain at the time of this post
2. Must be a current active member as defined by Moo at the time of this post

Election Procedure
1. Any eligible candidate wishing to serve on EGO has until 11:59 PM EDT on Saturday, May 23, 2026, to message me with their intent to run.
2. If there are not at least 2 eligible candidates, we will expand the eligibility criteria to include members holding the rank of Captain, and allowing for an additional 7 days for candidates to make their intent known.
3. Provided there are at least 2 eligible candidates, voting will open on Sunday, May 24th, and last for 7 days. With the winner announced on Monday, June 1st.

REMINDER: THERE IS NO CAMPAIGNING DURING THIS ELECTION.
