USS Chernov

Commanding Officer: Travis Good

How is your ship looking overall? We are doing well this last month. Posts are up and all are participating. We have a lot of character development going on and even more to come.

We just off loaded non essential crew and are about to go to a secret Starbase to be outfitted with new tech for our mission into the Klingon Empire.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? We have a lot of character growth going on and it’s hard to pinpoint which one is my favorite. I’m not just saying that, is really hard to choose.

Although all crew are doing really well,I would have to say that Richard A. Is our Crew of the Month winner. He has accepted the role of XO and have jumped in with both feet. He is having meetings with all Department Heads and is tackling the new mission with gusto.

I am honored to have him at my side and the Chernov is honored with a new protector of the ship and her crew.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.We need more JO’S in all departments! Please join our Crew and not only be on the only Abramsverse ship in Starfleet but be part of family not just crew.

Executive Officer: Richard A

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?Doing well, thank you.

The new First Officer has had one-to-one talks with most DHs, discussing the transition of leadership on the ship, as well as personal goals and aspirations among the DHs. This transition is bringing up some complexities, with the XO and 2O making a roadmap on how to function effectively (with the 2O being in the unique situation that he outranks the XO), and the CE and XO having to end a private relationship due to the position of authority of the XO over the CE. The CWO is having emotional difficulties over the new mission, which can hopefully be ironed out.

There are sidesims in both Engineering and Security.

The main sim is beginning, we’re heading to Titan to land the Chernov, and updating the ship there clandestinely, before heading to Klingon space on a secret space. All DHs are involved in the planning, and have been excellent in the mission briefing.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?Doing well, thank you. We have one returnee – Rusty Boshankles, playing Vulcan security officer T’Kul Valharra (with the unique personal history of havign been transported from the Prime universe to the Kelvin universe during the Spock/Red Drop incident) has come back after a year. He’s alreading reporting to duty! Happy to have him on board. His unique take on his character, as well as the character’s background will prove interesting.

Engineer Sara Lovejoy (played by Christopher Logan) is a lovely character who keeps passive-aggressively undermining the authority of the chief engineer, and eyeing his position. The interactions between her and the chief engineer are a joy to read.

As the main sim progresses, I see potential for both of them to play good parts in their respective roles.

Who is the shining star this month? It’s a tough choice. Everyone has done excellent work, exploring their characters and the new mission.

That said, I’ve decided that I’d like to nominate Hjortur Ingi (playing the 2O William Grey) for great character development in the past month. In his posts, Hjortur has explored Grey’s mental illness, joy of solitude and science, and his unwillingness to take on command (for various reasons). He has an ability to convey deep complexities about his character in a succinct style of writing that is also easy to understand and follow.

AFComm’s Comments: The USS Chernov is doing well this month and is up on its posting in February to 120! In January the Chernov made only 81 posts. The Chernov is looking great and it still has its small crew and is looking for players.

GM Report is excused because the Chernov has no GM.

The Chernov has 2 AWOLS which are past the 10 day mark and the Captain and XO will be reaching out.

The Chernov is still in great shape despite her small crew.

IRW Rovarran

Commanding Officer: No report submitted

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?The entire command staff has started with the main sim. We’re still trying to get into the groove with our new leadership team.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?

Who is the shining star this month? Our leader Hjortur; he has started a new shakedown sim.

AFComm’s Comments: The IRW Rovarran is eeking by and has only done four less posts in February than in January but the total was only 21 posts. They have only one AWOL and the GM report is excused. The CO report is not excused.

The Rovarran is a small crew and are in need of other players if anyone is wanting to branch out as they are very unique and are only Romulan.

I am very concerned with the ship and the FCOMM and myself will be emailing their Command staff to see if they have any plans and if we can be of any assistance.

USS Saracen

Commanding Officer: No report submitted

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: No report submitted

AFComm’s Comments: The USS Saracen is struggling this month since their post rate has gone down from 104 in January to 79 in February. Aside from that they have 5 AWOLS and two of them are past 10 days out and two more are at nine days out. I will send an email to the XO as to inquire about their players.

Dave, The CO, is stepping down from Command and if anyone is interested in becoming the new CO, then please let wither myself (Travis Good), Jenn Ward, the President or Vice President know of your intentions. Thank you Dave for your service to the USS Saracen.

The GM report is excused
The CO and XO reports are not excused! I will be reminding their command staff with an extra email or two when the next report is due.

Sam, the ships GM, has passed her GMT and is now a Jr. Game Master! Congrats and well done SAM!

I am not worried about the Saracen at this time as some ships ebb and flow with posts and as long as they get a new CO soon.

USS Sentinel

Commanding Officer: Jennifer Ward

How is your ship looking overall? This hasn’t been a great month for Sentinel, but it hasn’t been bad either. We had 299 posts in January but are down to 159 in February. There are side sims going and Nick has been great as our GM. Movement is slow on the main sim, mostly due to the different posting schedules of the crew involved in the different threads. Side sims are still going as well.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? I have really enjoyed the start of this main sim thread with the captain and the communications officer.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.As usual I really want to see the main sim move forward and get into the meat of the sim with the crew.

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?Our DH staff is really wonderful and everyone has been posting to the Sim, though it slowed. Side Sims have been going well as well.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?Our JOs have been a bit sporadic. There have been some RL demands that have kept them away at different times, but when they have been able to post their writing is always stellar.

Who is the shining star this month? Linds B. Her nurse practitioner, Leah Hart, has really gotten her skills tested and is doing amazing.

AFComm’s Comments: The GM Report is excused for this month.
In January the Sentinel has a massive 299 posts and in February had 158. They are still actively posting and I do not have concerns about them keeping the ship moving forward. Where there is a problem is that Five personnel are AWOL and three of those are past the 10 day mark and most of it was do to RL demands which gets us all. The FCOMM and myself will be reaching out to their command staff to see if they have any plans and if they need any assistance.

The ship that is the Shining star this month is the USS Chernov! I understand that the Chernov is my ship and I assure you that there is no bias here. The Chernov is the only ship with their posts up, all reports turned in on time and the fewest AWOLs given the number of personnel that they have.
