At times STF needs to expand its number of ships to reflect the needs of the members. Sometimes STF has to reduce its number of ships to reflect the needs of the members. Sometimes we create new ships that attract members, and other members start to lost interest in other ships. Which means that sometimes we need to decommission a ship.

Joana Ribeiro recently had to step down as the CO of the USS Dresden. The ship has not been doing well, which became more noticeable after Joana left. The ship reached a point where we would need to essentially restart the ship from scratch, finding a new crew, a new GM and a new CO. The club is not currently in a position to do that, and after discussions with Amber as Fleet Commander and Steve as VP and Personnel Director, there was consensus that it was time to decommission the USS Dresden. In the interim, the Fleet Command has had private conversations with the remaining crew members about the situation.

Therefore, based on the recommendation on the Fleet Commander, Pioneer Fleet, I am decommissioning the USS Dresden. TECH, please make the decommissioning effective on Friday, September 17, 2021 to give time to the remaining crew members to wrap everything up on the ship.
