____________________________________________ PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:

Like the rest of her family, Aroha has the trademark brown hair, eyes and skin of a Polynesian. She prefers to wear her hair long, however, due to the practicality of it, tends to keep in in a braid while she’s on duty.

____________________________________________ MEDICAL HISTORY:

In her teens Aroha sustained a ligament injury in her left ankle. Although for the most part her injury was healed, the ankle has been known on the rare occasion to cause her some discomfort.

Other than that, aside from being allergic to strawberries, Aroha is in relatively good condition.

____________________________________________ PERSONAL HISTORY:

Born in small town Fielding, New Zealand in 2362 Aroha is the 5th child of 7. The majority of the children being boys.
For the majority of her life Aroha grew up in the country on her parent’s farm alongside her brothers and sister. Aroha was an inquisitive, intelligent child and that nature combined with her brother’s tendency to get themselves into trouble, sparked her interest in the medical department early on. With the number of scrapes her siblings got themselves into she had no shortage of ‘patients’ to try her basic medical knowledge on, especially Tane as he tended to be the most accident prone. Out of all of her siblings Aroha is closest to Tane and Anahera.

As a child Aroha had believed she would be a vet when she grew older. It wasn’t until her older brother Tane left home, that Aroha felt the pull of adventure, and as he called home with all his tales of adventure that Aroha decided she wanted the opportunity to explore to (Although both her parents reckon she joined because she missed Tane). Starfleet seemed the best option for her to combine both her desire to be a doctor and her newly kindled thirst for adventure.

Thanks to her vet experience and knowledge of animals Aroha had an extra edge over her other classmates in the Academy and she did really well in her first year. The other years her grades slipped a little as she no longer held that edge, but she stuck to her studies and she graduated with average grades. Upon graduating she served aboard the U.S.S Trident with her brother Tane for a couple of months, before she was sent to Starbase Magellan.

Personality:

Aroha tends to say whatever is on her mind without really processing what’s she saying, giving her the tendancy to ramble from time to time. Because she comes from a large family of primarily boys, she can be loud when she wants to be, and is realativly competitve particularly when she is competing against guys.
