Zanderia Patterson

Born of Daniel Patterson and Maria Langston, Zanderia had always been the underdog. Being of both worlds, while she wasn’t judged for her looks, she had been for her diminished abilities. She had fought to overcome all in her child years, and her parents after a time convinced her to enter star-fleet as a way of coming to terms with everything people have done to her and to make a difference in the world. It turned out, she had a talent for medicine, and worked towards the top of her class. She was just a few months from graduating when she received a call from command, asking her to come to their office. Her parents had been in an accident doing some archeological work in a nearby system and were in bad shape. They asked her to take a sabbatical and go to them. She went to them in time, and watched her mother first, and then her father just days later pass from their injuries. Even with modern technology, their injuries were simply too great. She took a few weeks to come to terms and to say goodbye to them properly. After that time, she was determined to become a doctor in hopes to save people in as bad of as her parents had been, but to her dismay, she did graduate, but she was sent to Starbase 842 in the Kirn system as a means to recenter herself… But will she be assigned to the one ship currently docked there? Time will tell.
