Karla Reyes

Overview
Despite being almost 50, Karla is a recent graduate from the Medical Stream of Starfleet Academy. Previously a civilian doctor with studies in General Practice for both human and human/non human hybrids, she took on the challenge of Starfleet training because she wanted to extend her knowledge to non humans - whether single species or hybrids.

Marital status: Has been married twice, and is currently unmarried, though is in a long term relationship.
- First husband was a Betazoid, Josek Reyes. He took her surname, and died soon after their twins were born.
- Second husband was a Vulcan, Tarzik, who she married soon after Josek’s death. Tarzik raised the Reyes’ twins as though they were his own. Karla and Tarzik had a child as well, born a little under a year after the birth of the twins. All three are now in their mid-late 20’s. Tarzik died shortly after the three children turned 10. She didn’t remarry.
- Currently in a long term relationship with Durik, a Cardassian neurologist who she worked alongside in a joint Federation-Cardassian medical facility.

Offspring: twin half human half Betazoids with first husband. one half human half Vulcan with 2nd husband, all three born in the same calendar year and are in their mid-late 20’s.
