Lieutenant j.g. Elisabet Hildr Fredholm was born on October 13, 2249, in Linköping, Sweden, to a family of varying backgrounds. Her father is an artist, while her mother works as a teacher in the Medical track at Starfleet Academy. Elisabet always had an aptitude for science and research, having been drafting complex research papers on a variety of current scientific issues since she was in high school. She’s also held a strong desire to explore civilizations outside of the human race and learn about different cultures. This led her to Starfleet Academy, where she graduated with a specialization in cultural zoology.

Elisabet’s first posting as an Ensign was on the USS Athena, a ship that was designed for researching other planets, species, and cultures. Her commanding officer was Captain Faddei Yakovich, who she frequently butted heads with not because of her work, but for personal matters. Elisabet is a practicing theistic Satanist of the Luciferian path, a faith she embraces not as rebellion but as a personal philosophy of enlightenment, empowerment, and responsibility. Captain Yakovich did not tolerate Elisabet’s beliefs in the slightest and was constantly looking for ways to get her in trouble, most of the time over the smallest things. But thankfully, Elisabet’s Chief Science Officer, Lieutenant Hwang Jae-Hui, sympathized with the persecution his underling faced and supported her every time.

Ultimately, Captain Yakovich unjustly kicked Elisabet off the USS Athena a year into her assignment. Lieutenant Hwang resigned in solidarity and gave Elisabet a personal recommendation to Captain Chris Taggart for an assignment to the USS Chernov. Elisabet was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade for her resilience in the face of persecution, and joined the Chernov at age 25. A quiet presence off duty, she often retreats to her quarters with her Scottish Fold kitten, Linn, who provides her with companionship during long voyages.
