Given as a gift to an Admiral at 17, she did two years as his slave. Given his rank, she accompanied him nearly everywhere, even places that were classified. One day she corrected a translator who was trying to dupe her Master. She called out the translator. When she was told to requestion the Orion representative, she confirmed the translator was lieing. She became her Admiral’s personal translator. After another year, he sent her to the Academy for formal training and to acquire the clearances she needed to continue to serve him.

He was slain in a ship attack and she was set free. But on her next ship, the Cerberus she worked herself into the Captain’s confidence and became his pet, personal translator, and lover. With the transfer of the CO, but not her, she’s floundering to find not just purpose but companionship.
