Octavia Raain

Physical Description

A typical Trill Octavias adult spots have started to show through the epidermis of her skin, so she has a mixture of light brown and dark brown spots from the top of her forward down the side of her face neck and body. She is usually found wearing glasses, her hair up in a bun or pony tail in which she very rarely wears down. She has Dark brown eyes set upon a Oval face. She stands at approximately 5 Feet and 2 inches weighing about 56kgs. Though most of her weight is due to her athletic nature.

Personal Background and Characteristics

Octavia was born during the uneventful year of 2378 and during the eight cycle of the full moon which is why she was given her name. She was born on Earth unlike most Trill and unlike most Trill had only spent a short period of her life there when she visited her family and undergo the Trill Symbiote match-up assessments, She's always considered a sacred place but Earth as home. She was seen eligible but due to her commitments on Earth would likely never be selected for a joining and thus never underwent any training. She is a reserved young woman just coming into her own, lacking however any real-life experience. She can be at times Naive and easily influenced though her time during Medical College has certainly made her grow up a little quicker. 

Once past Octavia's initial shyness, she is a well mannered and bright young woman with ambitions as great as any. Octavia's shyness is also lost on the sports track where she competes in different athletics competitions as well as a number of recreational groups such as Chess, Acapella and Painting. None of these, however, are greater than her favourite past time of getting lost in a book, she has always been able to pick up any book be it fiction, non-fiction, a dictionary or a guide on chopping wood she is fascinated by literature. 

She began studying for medical school at an early age as she left high school and graduated Medical College at 18. She is well educated and hopes to carry on her education in Starfleet to become a doctor where she enlisted to allow her to gain the appropriate medical experience before applying to the Academy as an officer. She is currently a Medical Student on a Medical Rotation of the USS Ogawa before returning to Earth where she hoped to finish her studying and apply. 

During her time there, however, the fates had chosen a new path for Octavia in the form of an unexpected medical transition one she thought never to happen. 

Octavia is a new ensign and had until previously spent her final year at the academy on the USS Ogawa, she had started to show signs of mental stress as a result of her unnatural joining and a mentor was assigned to her by the name of Commander Raauhl, since they have grown close together in a father, daughter bond and as a result of her ongoing troubles has joined him on the USS Leviathan.

The Raain Symbiote

Raain is a young Symbiote a new offspring from the pools and has only ever had one host Govan, an engineering crewman serving aboard the USS Ogawa. Raain was always planned to join with Govan and their fates were one of a well-planned by the pool keeper and his host family who shared a long history fo joining. Little did Raain know that the door to this part of his life would close and a new one open in a rather unexpected place.
