<snip>Marlene had been crouched down, and when the explosion hit, she was merely knocked off balance, falling onto her rear. Her eyes scanned the area, looking for injuries or casualties.
She saw the Captain hit his head, and when she regained her sense of balance, she pushed herself to her feet, rushing to his side.
“Captain, can you hear me?” She asked, taking his head in her hands gently.
-Lt. Marlene Judas, CMO
The Captain’s flickered as he slowly regained consciousness.
Cadet Polis picked himself up off the floor of the shuttlepod and regained his composure. He could see the Captain, unconscious but being tended too. He taped his communicator, “Polis to Treyarch, if we cannot blow out the shuttlebay, I may be able to hold both aliens in place.. but only for a short while. I need them close together in front of the Pod. Can you do that?” Polis powered up the controls for the pods tractor beam. 20% power, more then enough for the plan he had. The control panel cherped as he accessed the system and reversed the polarity. The system display read ‘standing by’ and Polis did the same, his finger on the button. This would only work as a surprise once.

Johnson’s eyes opened, but his head was dizzy. He tested his right hand almost instinctually, making sure it was responding properly. “Aliss? The Drachin?”
Johnson quickly tried to recall what had happened before the explosion. “Wait, what is Cadet Polis doing?” he asked, groaning - whether because of his head or Polis, no one would be sure.
-Captain Johnson, CO
Polis could see the Captain waking. Aliss had him dragged to cover but he could also see something they could not. The larger of the Drachin was approaching them from their blind spot. Good thing was it was directly in front of the shuttlepod. Bad thing, it was only one of them. Polis had no other choice. He activated the tractor beam controls…
By reversing the polarity, he had now turned the tractor beam into a repulser beam. A blue light of energy shot out from the pod at the Drachin pushing it across the room and holding it in place a foot or two above the floor. Control claxons began to go off inside the pod. Power was draining fast. “Polis to the Captain. This will only hold for a minute. What do we do next?” Polis was out of ideas, for the moment.

The focus turned. The Drachin had another enemy again. The shuttle. The creatures were not as much corporeal as ‘corporeal energy’ and as the repulsor struck the one it was pushed back inasmuch as energy versus energy allowed. Was it hanging in the air? That was uncertain in the twilight light in the Bay. What was certain was that Polis had made it mad. It pushed against the beam, sparks and energy shooting from it and highlighting it in a blaze of energy. It also made it a visible target.
What was unexpected was the other Drachin suddenly appearing at the side of the shuttle, clamping onto it and discharging its own energy at it. The shuttle (and itself) lit up as much as the other in a cascade of energy surrounding it and the shuttle. Inside, Polis found himself getting hot, and the energy ‘leaking’ through from the Drachin and coursing down corners and along the ceiling like fingers of fire. His console sparked, discharges connecting with his fingers and throwing him back, shaking on the deck, fingers and one hand burned.
Aliss saw the creatures and shouted, “Targets!” and fired at the one at the shuttle with a sustained blast.

OOC: They are burns .. nothing permanent damage but something second degree which can be healed
Johnson’s head cleared, but he realized his plan was coming into shambles. He couldn’t vent the shuttle bay until Polis was rescued…
He moved Judas’s green hand aside to get a better idea of the tactical situation. “Aliss, Treyarch, keep focusing your phasers on the Drachin trapping Polis. Judas, start distracting the other one if it is able to free itself.”
Johnson tapped his communicator as he went down under cover again. =/\= Bridge, how are transporters? I need an emergency medical transport for Cadet Polis. =/\=
-Captain Johnson, CO
The scene became surreal .. Aliss and others were able to target the Drachin more easily due to the energy profile around the shuttle. It was not taking it well and its energy discharges were weakening. Still it seemed to have done something as the repulsor sputtered and winked out. At that moment though, something in the shuttle fought back and a plasma conduit blew out next to the Drachin. Energy coursed through it throwing it off the shuttle, but phaser energy kept it locked into it. It let out a loud, piercing, guttural scream and then it simply .. winked out.
The other, suddenly freed from the repulsor started to move quickly toward where the Captain was. Lightning flashed from it in their direction, though it was not targeted well and flashed around but only winged one security crewman, throwing him around and to the deck. At the instant of the explosion and apparent demise of its rival colleague it stopped. A moment later, finding itself the focus of phaser fire it launched itself in another direction, toward the ‘time tunnel’.
Just before it reached that, Ang barreled through and passed through a shower of sparks from the Drachin and just missed getting pegged by a phaser shot. The Drachin leaped into the tunnel where, at that moment, the tunnel, previously invisible to the eye flared in a yellow-orange display that lit up the whole of the Hangar Bay. Then it, too, flared out .. and all was silent but for the small fires created by the Drachin and phaser fire.

OOC: Feel free to play out the end battle and such. Polis, if you wanted to have a heroic ‘cause’ to the plasma explosion feel free. Your hands will work, but will hurt like hell doing it. .. Gene
Cadet Polis looked around from the floor of the shuttlepod, ears ringing and a shooting pain rushing through his left arm. He focused his vison down to his hand. It was blackend and blistering. He remembered now, the panel exploding while he was working at it. He clutched his arm in close careful not to touch it off his body. With his right arm he pulled himself off the floor grabbing the chair for support.
He looked out the front viewer at the aftermath. With no sign of the alien beings he reached the rear of the pod and opened the door, stepping out into the shuttlebay. He glanced round again looking to the Captain. He was still prepared for orders but seeking medical attention was high on his priorities.Cadet Polis, Security
Aliss was torn between two directions. She saw the Chief coming out of the .. portal .. alone. And she saw the fires. And she saw Polis staggering out of the Bay. The lights were flickering brighter. =^= Aliss to fire control teams. We have multiple small fires in main shuttle bay. Auto-Suppression appears offline. =^= She said that as she wnet o help Polis. “The doctor is just over here - or at least was. =^= she said as she reached out to help him .. rewarded by only grasping air as he was beamed away. “I hope that was a good thing …” she murmured.

Ang hit something hard, curled into a ball and reflexively rolled as shots, fires and sparks rang around her. For a moment she wasn’t sure what was from the portal, what was from the ‘past’ and what was from the present. As reality and time snapped back into place, there was a small pop in her ears and she found herself half curled in a ball on the deck of the bay where the shuttle had stopped her roll.
Slowly, the half Klingon blinked her eyes and looked around. The near silence was almost as deafening as the cacophony of battle. She saw someone beamed out a few feet away and gently pushed herself to a sitting position and surveyed the area to see how bad things were. She wasn’t quite ready to stand up, but her mind was starting to clear up and take stock in her surroundings.
