“Performing arts,” Liadra said without hesitation. “Music, theatre, dance, you name it. I love it all and I’ve loved participating in some of it, though as I said I don’t have much talent for it. There’s something about the communal aspect that as a Denobulan feels very right for me because of our society.” Gathering in groups to share in something was a part of everyday life on Denobula, so anytime she could recreate that experience she was content.

“A good friend of mine, who works on Outpost 42, is also a huge fanatic for performing arts. Specifically theatre, as well as set design. You two would probably get along,” She chuckled, in the slightest. “That makes sense. Have you been in any specific plays, farces, musicals or skits? Or do you just have an uncanny love for them?” It was clear the Andorian was genuinely interested.

“Well, I did perform in a short play once when I was in school and there was a notable improv night at the Academy in which I proved comedy was not exactly my strength,” Liadra said with a light laugh before leaning in conspiratorially. “But it could be fun to start something here. You know, give the cadets an outlet?”

“Perhaps skits? Or one-acts? Something that could give them something to do, at night or when they’re off, maybe in the recreation rooms or the lounge?” She shrugged her shoulders, speaking as the ideas came to her evasive mind. A small sputter of amusement left her lips in a laugh, as she shook her head. “I wonder how the Captain might take that one.”

“A talent show!” Liadra exclaimed. Her grey eyes were alit. “Maybe I can convince some of the cadets to do some short pieces with me? Who knows. Though they might take it as an order if if I tell them, and well, at least we’d have a good show one way or another.”

“That is quite true. Though, with the fluctuating schedules of each cadet, and the fact that stations must be manned at all times, you’ll have to be conscientious about when this is done. Not to mention, it would, if a ship-wide event, probably be better to play on the monitors, instead of having officers and cadets all flock to a specific area on the ship.. or otherwise.”
