Having finally gotten setlled in his new quarters, Flynn ran down the itinerary of things to do when boarding a new ship. Lucky for him, the procedure hadn’t changed in the past 5 years. everything he was used to was still SOP.

Next on the list: 1430 hours-physical check-in. Plus, this gave him a chance to meet the ship’s CMO and see him work in a non-stressful situation. The new XO liked to meet the people under him in person, before going over their personnel files. This way he had no pre-conceived notions about the crew in DH positions.

The doors of Sickbay opened before him and then silently closed after he entered. Spotting the CMO, Flynn made his way over to introduce himself.

“Dr. Buckingham? Howdy, I’m Cmdr. MacLeod, the ship’s new Number 1.” The XO extended his right hand in greeting.

Buckingham placed down the PADD he was working with and turned to face to Commander MacLeod.
“Pleasure to meet you Sir” Tom said as he shook the Commander’s Hand. “I’m Doctor Buckingham, the CMO. What can I do for you?”

” 1430 hours, Doc. Here for my physical. Figured if’n I missed it, you’d be wranglin’ up some fellers from security to round be up like some lost doggie, the XO replied. “Figured it wouldn’t hurt none to get a surprise inspection in while I’m at it.”

“By all means” Tom Smiled. “Which would you prefer to do first?”
