Kaylee grinned her agreement at Rixan. It definitely had its perks.

From the right to the left, people were celebrating and having fun. Surely it was the best of the parties, first to have had onboard a ship as an officer. But even tho, Kai knew he would have missed the whole ship and crew, where the four months or so passed so quick and so fade.
“Can ya all excuse me? I want to do a quick last complete tour of the ship.” He asked to the seniors while the fiesta was getting better and better

“Go for it, Ensign,” Kaylee responded with a smile. “Savor the moment, but be ready to embrace the next steps. You’re dismissed.”

Torias nodded toward the Ensign, “Indeed, it’ll probably be the last time you walk these corridors,” he also said with his own smile. “Look forward to hearing great things happening from you, Ensign,” he added before he went back to his own drink.

Nodding to both Seniors Officer and smiling toward them, a bit for the empathy he proved, a bit for the proudness and excitement of the new pip, Kai was now heading outside the Nine Forward and started what was, his last aboard ship tour of the Endeavour to remember the place he lived and grew in to become a real Officer. Starting from his favorite Lab, Lab 1, he then went down, deck after deck, greeting often the people he usually saw. Yeah it was a great feeling and he would have certainly missed the Endy.
