Torias stepped out of the turbolift and headed straight to the transporter room to greet the guests that had been reported. He entered and awaited the transport to complete and to greet whoever turned up.

As soon as the transporter chief noted Torias’ arrival she bent to the controls. “Energizing now, Lieutenant,” she said. She was a trim woman of middle years - not an officer but a ranking Non-Comm. While blonde her hair was short and severe, her cheekbones pronounced.

When the transporter effect stopped a man stepped down. He was human and of average height, somewhere in his 40’s with a quickly retreating hairline. Grey eyes scanned the room focusing on Torias. He wore a dark grey suit, slightly lighter trousers and white pressed shirt with a faint design to it. On the blazer was a black ceramic pin marking the silver insignia of the Magnus Corporation - a circle at the base with three curved vertical lines and a star at the end of each. In his left hand he bore a thin silver briefcase. “I am Mason Larden, lawyer and humanoid resources representative for the Magnus Corporation,” he said, introducing himself and extending his hand to Torias. “Grim business this, but we’ll get to the bottom of it.” His accent held a slight English or European tone to it.
