Callen gave himself a mental once over as he approached the sickbay doors. The ship had an energy to it, and he was equal parts excited and nervous to be on board. He hoped the familiar environment of the medical facilities would help calm him, though being on the receiving end of a physical felt like a rarity because he was more used to giving them. He took a deep breath and squared his shoulders as the doors slid open.

As he scanned the room, his eyes settled on a tall man in a crisp uniform bearing the pips of a Lieutenant Junior Grade. He approached, snapping off a clean salute while desperately hoping his voice didn’t waver. “Cadet Voight reporting for duty and a boarding physical, Sir.” So far so good he thought, at least he hadn’t stumbled over his words.

Dominic had heard the new cadet speak before turning towards him walking over “Hey I’m cadet corvax nice to meet you. If you’ll follow me we can get the physical out of the way, of course I’m going to do the physical since Buckingham my superior is just a tad busy I’m sure he wont mind if I take over”

Callen turned to face the other cadet. He had no reason to be nervous about the physical, but the new environment and unfamiliar faces had started getting to him a little. Despite it, he gave the cadet a small smile and said “Good to meet you Cadet Corvax, and thanks for the help with the physical.” Maybe meeting his department head after the physical would make it a less stressful affair. Callen let the other cadet lead the way.

Dominic smiled as he lead him to a open biobed and grabbed a padd bringing up his medical records “alright take a seat and we can begin. Is there any ailments or conditions that are not in the records that we need to be aware of?” He asked looking at him calmly
