“Hey, we’re starfleet - we exist to help others in need, whether they like each other or not,” Paron chuckled. “At the end of the day, your medical oath goes above any quarral. You see people in need of medical attention, you provide that medical attention. We were just there to keep the peace,” he said in a more earnest tone. “And well, given the condition some of the ones we found were in, I wouldn’t know the first thing as to how to help them heal,” he added before nodding towards Kai, “If your offering Cadet, a pineapple juice for me, I like the sweet flavor,” Paron said in response to the science cadet’s question.

Not only for the sake of being a well known and honorable officer, but because I have the necessity to help and explore and know whatever is beyond the curtain of knowledge. In his dialogue, Kai remembered those days passed with his father, and while going to the booth to take some beverage and hearing who might wanted a drink so he could take one on the way, the memories made him almost cry and wondered if it was this, the feeling that his father once tried working for the benefits of other people and make peace among civilizations.
“I guess so.” He replied to himself.

Kay glanced around the room, assessing who had managed to appear from the crew so that they could get the celebratory party started.

Phew. The senior staff sure was tardy on showing up. Kay made a mental note to make sure that they all recognized the value of a fun, social bonding experience.

IC: K’Resh took a sip of her drink, counting the minutes until she could leave this unduly merry gathering. Taking a deep sigh she reluctantly went back over to socialise. “It seems there are still a few missing faces Commander?” she enquired to Adrie, noticing the absence of senior officers. If she had to be here, she didn’t see why they got to miss the torture of being merry. “The cadets performed…” her initial thought was adequately but she caught herself, remembering that star-fleet liked to praise officers, especially the young ones, “…well…” she concluded.
