Not long after the XO arrived, Paron made his way to Nine Forward about five minutes before the arranged start time. He had a quick look around and hoped that he would be able to let loose himself, and that no trouble would come to the party. He walked over to get himself a drink, then made his way to the captain and the first officer. “Captain, thanks for the invite. Commander, at least we didn’t mess up our first mission in our respective positions,” he said towards Adrie with a smile. He also noticed that Kai had also already arrived. “Good to see you, cadet. Good job down on the asteroid,” he said with a sincere tone.

Lieutenant (J.G) Torias Paron, CoS

Kai barely saw Paron, as he was looking right in front of the windows, and his black shadow passed behind his chair; but still he managed to nod and say “Thanks, sir, our team was a good one.”
With a falcon eye, right afterwards, the outer sight felt on the Klingon, that was the CE and Kai immediately stood up.

With a sense of dread or awkwardness, K’Resh made her way to Nine Forward. She could think of a million things she would rather be doing than making small talk and eating bland non-Klingon food but Commander Adrie had made it clear that it was not optional. She took a deep breath and rolled her eyes before entering the room. She wandered up to Adrie & Paron, deciding that she might as well make some kind of effort to socialise. “Commander, Lt…” she said with a slight nod.

Lt K’Resh (CE)

The only thing he could manage to do, was waving his left hand with such a mechanical move that it seemed like a robot in a first glance. He surely was scared of K’Resh beside he already saw her plenty of time: surely the fact that she was a Klingon, made his soul a bit weak and the first time of each time he met her, it was like a scary scene of a horror.

Cadet Kai O. Kingstone - Scientist

Kaylee watched Kai’s reaction to the Klingon engineer with amusement as she nodded in response to Paron. “It’s always an accomplishment when we don’t blow ourselves or anyone else up,” she replied with a wink.

Cmdr Adrie, XO

K’Resh raised an eyebrow at her comment. “Blow ourselves up? Not on my watch Commander…” she replied with a fire in her eyes. “Oh, was that a joke?”she inquired. She still hadn’t managed to master humour, Klingons weren’t exactly known for it.

Paron gave a gentle smile and said “It was, Lieutenant,” in a friendly response. “And well… the ship won’t blow up in your hands at least,” he said with a slight chuckle to the Lieutenant. “At least… one would hope,” he added, this time also winking.

Kaylee calmly arched an eyebrow at Paron. “Who says I was joking?” she queried with a deadpan grin before giggling softly. “Yes, Lieutenant, that was a joke,” she confirmed.

Cmdr Adrie, XO

Kai barely heard what the joke was about, as the initial chattering made a bit of confusion. But as he slowly understood he laughed away from the group seemingly a bit odd, a bit a crazy man.
“Oh god! Ahaha… Ah!” He mumbled as a bunch of people were watching him “uhm. Yeah, embarrassing.”
He stood up and went to the little group of officers and asked to them: “so I’ve seen some sort of buffet right there, someone wants to eat?”
Delighted about the food, he was almost drooling of hunger: the Project that he was doing with Mr. Kanto and the others, deprived him some precious time to eat lunch.
“I feel like starving.” He commented at a very low voice.

Torias just slightly shrugged at the XO when she looked at him, and heard the laughter coming from the cadet. He was about to say something before noticing he had made his way to the food. “Not yet, cadet - once everyone is here,” he said in a serious tone.

“Just kidding, it’s up to the captain, but with the trip to the asteroid, you deserve it,” Paron said with a smile after a pause of about five seconds.

At that point Kai was looking with a sweet face the Captain to await her granting to go to the buffet table “I see some Vulcan food, my favorite! Also thanks, Lieutenant.” Told to the Captain and greeted the CoS.

The doors to Nine-Forward slid open to revel Lieutenant Buckingham (About time!) Tardiness was not a usual trait of his, but since the conclusion of the Mission he had spent a lot of time in Sickbay supervising the recovery of the patients who had found themselves there. He still looked tired despite having been to his quarters to freshen and smarten up before making his way to the party.

The first thing he sought to do was to find the Captain and make his apologies for being late. He made his way over to the Captain and waited for an appropriate moment to speak to her.
“Captain, I’d just like to take a moment to thank you for the invite and I hope you’ll forgive my late arrival.” He spoke sincerely. “Things have been rather hectic in Sickbay of late.” He smiled as he said this.
He was immensely pleased of the work his staff had done, and they attitude in which they have done it in too. He was also pleased to now be spending some downtime with a crew that had proved itself to be truly wonderful indeed.

Lt. (J.G) Thomas Buckingham - CMO

Paron heard the CMO come in and after he had spoken to the captain, found an opportunity to speak with him. “Doctor, apologies for the argumentative shuttle crews. The arguments were almost making me need sickbay for a headache myself,” he told the Doctor.

“I guess you need some relief afterwards. You did a great job Doc.” He said to Buckingham patting his back. Just after that, he was again drooling and decided to take a glass of water, offering to take something for the group.
“Someone wants some drink?”
