Lucy quickly shuffled into the sickbay with her arms crossed and her eyes looking around in wonder. “Oh I guess I have to do this.” She began looking around for the docotr she was supposed to report to. “Hello, I’m here for my check-up.” She began to fiddle with her hair, braiding and unbraiding it continuously.

Dominic turned around hearing a female voice and smiled gently”Hey come on over,my names Cadet Corvax, you must be the new security officer? ” he asked noticing she was messing with her so he attempted to help her relax”your probably nervous huh? I was too when I did my check up, im also newer here.” He said picking up a PaDD to start the check up in replacement of Buckingham so the poor doc could take a minor break from check ups

Lucy looked over and smiled. “Hi, I’m Lucy. Yeah I’m a bit nervous, I always am… I’ve always heard how big starships can be but wow. I’ve been lost five times, I’m glad I found the sickbay.” She walked over and sat in a near by chair. “So you’ll be doing my checkup? Just a check up? No long needles or anything like that, right?” She chuckled, showing off her bright, white teeth.

Dominic smiled over looking her medical records “yes its gets confusing finding your way through it. And no no needles. Just a simple check up. I will need to know if you have any conditions or ailments of any sort that aren’t on the medical records? Just in case of course.” He said with a smile to keep the nerves low enough to keep the anxiety away.

“Oh, good. Everything should be in order. Other than the odd cold or flu everything is up to date. Hopefully. My scar,” She brushed her hand across the scar running across her face, “Hasn’t healed nor gotten worse in a few years, so that’s good.” She said with great sadness and grief. Her smile disappeared and she let out a small sigh. “I guess it never will.”

Dominic looked up from the padd and saw the scar when she mentioned it, “that’s a bit odd. May I examine the scar? Maybe me or someone else is capable of seeing why it’s been dormant.” He said with slight concern in his voice he wanted to see if he could possibly find a way to fix the scar

She stared at a blank wall for a well ten seconds before snapping back. “I’m sorry, other than the hair pin the scar is the only memory I have of my parents. It replaces saying good morning to them, I just look in the mirror and there it is. I… I don’t want it gone.” Her head started rocking back and forth. “Thank you though.”

Dominic smiled softly towards”of course I completely understand. I’m merely doing my job that’s all. But I will respect your choice. And remember I’m open ears as is the counselor.” He said gently to her “other then that scar possibly being a little concerning it seems your for duty.” He said trying to lighten the mood for her

Lucy rubbed the scar, “”Is it really worrying? I’ve had it for years. It’s a normal part of my day and only hurts every now and then.” She looked over to her shaking left hand and held it firmly.

Dominic sighed softly, “if the pain gets out of control I want to you come see me ok? It’s my job as a doctor to make sure your fit for duty.” He said noticing her hand was shaking “dont worry ok? I wont mess with the scar unless you say so.”
