Lucy walked past the office doors before stopping and staring at them, the only barrier between her, and her new life. She adjusted her suit to the point of making it worse, then she knocked on the door heavily before recoiling.
“I swear if this…” Her rambles slowly dissolved into quiet chuckling. “Ha! This is absolutely a train wreck and I haven’t even met them yet!”
After a few minutes, she calmed down and rang the bell. “Oh, why did I ever join Starfleet?”

OOC: Welcome aboard and to Starfleet Cadet :) Just something to note regarding posting. After our posts, we would typically sign it with the rank, character name and position on the ship (see other posts and the bottom of this one to see what I mean). We all forget sometimes, even the veterans, so always good to have a friendly reminder about it. Anyways, on to the check-in

IC: Torias was halfway through his coffee reading a PaDD when there was a knock at his office door. He looked up and put the PaDD down, remembering that he was supposed to be meeting with the new transfer today. The PaDD slid off the ever growing pile of paperwork and there was a clutter, as two of the PaDDs in the pile fell to the floor, before Lucy heard the words “Come in” from a man’s voice inside the office.

OOC: Oh sorry I forgot, thank you for telling me though. I’m happy to be here.

IC: Lucy paused for a few seconds before walking in and giving an awkward smile.
“Hi. I’m the new cadet. I hope I’m not bothering you.”
She let out a sigh of relief because she was able to act like a normal human being and make it through her first sentence. “I was told to report to my depart- oh you already know that don’t ya? I guess I don’t need to remind you.” She chuckled.

Paron looked up from the desk to see the cadet in his doorway. “Excellent. Welcome aboard,” Paron said. Paron was a tall man with quite an athletic build, and trill tattoos that ran down the left side of his head and neck, and probably the rest of that side of his body. His slick black hair combed and kept relatively short, but not to a buzzcut. He gestured towards the seat opposite the desk “Please, take a seat and tell me more about yourself, cadet” he asked as he got up out of his seat and headed towards the replicator. “Drink?” he asked as he produced a lemon tea for himself.

“Hot tea please.” She tip-toed over to the seat and laid back and sighed. “Well, there isn’t much.” Her eyes began to shift. “I mean, there is some stuff but its stuff I don’t really talk about. But if you wanted you could look in my records. I can’t really stop you. I’m sorry I’m rambling.” She shifted around in her seat while running her hand through her red hair and biting her nails.
